Chance Run-In
My fingers danced across the ivory keys of the glossy ebony piano. The melody echoed through the empty room filling my ears. My hands slowed as the song came to an end. Unexpected applause caused me flinch and look towards the door. "Ra-chan!" I exclaimed greeting my friend warmly.
Raku Uta was exactly 5 foot 3 inches tall and my childhood friend. Her long black hair curled into perfect ringlets, contrasting with her pale ivory skin. Her eyes flickered to her two companions I had yet to notice. I followed her gaze and groaned, beside her stood my worst nightmares. "Ima-chan," She said her voice soothing as she freed her hand from her fiancé's.
"My dear Imako-san," Kaoru Hitachiin smiled, stalking towards me. I jumped to my feet, my whole 5 foot 5 tensed as I planned my escape.
"Back off you demon" I growled as I backed up.
"Ima-chan" Hikaru Hitachiin whined joining his twin, they pressed forward forcing me closer to the wall. I focused on my retreat not realizing how close I was to the wall until it was too late. I silently cursed the music room and the demon twins as I pressed against the wall.
"Back off," I sneered, my hands curling into fists. They paused clearly remembering the last time I was trapped. I took that hesitation as my chance to escape. I skirted around Kaoru before fleeing out the door. My feet pounded against the marble floor as I ran. "Ima-chan! Look out!" Raku yelled as I collided with what I thought was a wall.
I gasped as I fell to the floor. My eyes took in the person's shoes, then their black pants. My gaze swiftly settles on their face. I glared at the intimidating young man that stood before me.
"Ima-chan, are you alright?" a childish voice asked from beside the tall man. Mitsukuni Haninozuka smiled warmly before looking up at his cousin. "Takashi, you knocked her over." His voice became a slight whine.
Takashi Morinozuka offered me his hand silently, his brown eyes warming as he looked down at me. I slipped hand into his silently a shy smile on my face. He lifted me effortlessly, a slight smile appearing in response to mine.
"Thank you Morinozuka- Senpai." I bowed respectfully smoothing my butterfly yellow dress.
"You're welcome Kyromizu-san." He bowed back his deep voice shocking me. My mouth sagged open slightly as I looked at him.
"Imako," I corrected sheepishly, my gaze trained on his. He smiled lightly.
"Imako-san" he corrected smiling warmly at me. Honey tugged on my hand drawing my attention back to him.
"Imako-chan, I feel terrible would you like to join us for cake?" Honey's big brown eyes filled with tears as he looked at me.
"Cake?" I looked at Mori slightly confused. "at the host club?" I frowned slightly.
"Yes at the host club" Honey confirmed his tears spilled over as he hugged his Bunny closely. "After school?"
"Sure" I sighed defeated. Raku would be immensely happy that I was finally visiting the host club.
"Yay!" Honey cheered excitedly. "Takashi and I can be your hosts!" My face burned crimson as I thought of the host club.
The bell rang signalling the end of lunch, I looked down the hall sadly "I had better go.." I smiled and bowed slightly.
"Bye Ima-chan!!!" Honey yelled as i ran down the hall and to calligraphy.
