"Babe, I'll join you in a few minutes," Peter said; walking towards the bathroom with a smile.

Mari and Peter were travelling off for a while on a vacation. Mari had been away for a few days now; enjoying her time off. She liked travelling, but she had to admit she missed Sacramento and Los Angeles when she was off with Peter. She missed her gaming chair that was a gift from a company that had a connection to Smosh, missed the busy streets and busy people, and truly she missed other things too, but the most missed things were people and those people were the Smosh family.

She missed Ian and Anthony due to them being brothers to her from the beginning, Joven for having a punishment buddy and someone to have coffee conversations with, Lasercorn for the crazy out-of-control maniac energy, Sohinki for being her platonic opposite gender best friend or more than that friend, Wes for his accents and Fabio hair, Flitz for his wisdom and fashion, and the other new additions too.

She had always missed them during travelling, but now more than ever. She and Joven were planning an afternoon off work to watch and fan-girl over Doctor Who together at her place with matching bowties and failing at British accents together with cups of teas and all. She was planning on baby-sitting Tyler, Lasercorn's kid, with Lasercorn some night so his wife could go have a night out. It would be fun with silly games, cuddling, and getting to know the daddy-side of the maniac gamer dude she knew. She was planning on taking Sohinki shopping for clothes and possibly a coffee shop conversation that was more than stupid work-related banter and more relaxing and enjoying each other's company on their own. Wes was planning on helping her experience with video games at his place off-camera and she was actually looking forward to that. She and Flitz were going to a joint mix-genre dance together: one for his channel and one for her channel.

It was nice to relax and be with her boyfriend for a while, but sometimes the Smosh boys beat or were better than Peter. They were not trying to woo her constantly; trying to keep her liking them. The guys did not want her to like her, but rather to have fun and laugh with her. Peter was rich off of drone-tours of fancy houses while she and the guys had money from playing video games together all day that was something they loved a lot. She found Peter to be too business-orientated and too much like Hans from Frozen if she had to admit. One moment, he was lovey-dovey and all Prince Charming in her tom-boy heart and the next moment, he was running off for business; barely waving good-bye or texting a message to her about it. The guys on crew were slightly better. They were more relaxed and fun-loving. They reminded her of Disney cartoon side-kick or friend animals that were by her side almost no matter what. They sometimes did run off for filming, but they gave warnings and made her forgot that she was a lone lioness in a pack of lions, tigers, and pumas with great hair and swore like sailors.

Besides missing her friends and city life, vacation was nice and she liked it, but not for weeks and weeks on end. As she returned to the moment in their hotel-room with a well-made bed and neat travel gear with Peter exiting the bathroom with a sexy smile crossing his handsome face, Mari let herself listen to Peter who had his phone in his hands annoyed.

"Babe, this weekend is cut short. I'm sorry to say that, Mari," Peter said with a shake of his head and sigh.

As he plugged in his phone with a sigh again, she let herself smile and pull Peter onto the shared bed and spoke with a growing smile.

"Peter," she began, "That's ok. I prefer my apartment in California to hotels and casino rooms… Is it for work, babe?"

As they snuggled and fell asleep together, Mari allowed herself to praise and curse whatever Karma luck thing was giving her the events of what just happened.
