Tyckner project 0403

Project 0403 AKA:THE JAR

403 was originally a joint attempt between the UN and the Tyckner foundation to artificially preserve a subject indefinitely thereby granting immortality.

Early attempts of preserving simply the base components in this case merely the brain and spinal cord proved unsuccessful. While the subject was preserved the lack of sensory information for prolonged periods of time caused significant amounts of stress for the subject resulting either in death or insanity.

Later synthetic bodies were used. However the systems required for the preservation of the subjects brain proved too cumbersome to be transferred solely into the body. Instead it was decided that control over the body and sensory information, would be transferred digitally. Yet again problems arose due to the limited nature that which sensory information could be replicated artificially to the brain. Also undue stress was forced upon the subject in the event that the connection to the artificial body was in any way severed.

The Success came when the previous attempts were paired with the subject's own fully or partially intact body was preserved not simply the brain. It alleviated much of the stress the subject was under during connection severage, and enabled easier sensory information to be past on. In addition to survivability rates increasing if the facility housing the subject where to be rendered unsuitable.

Subject 078013 has successfully been preserved as a head and torso for the past 35 years without signs of ageing physically and regularly participates in facility maintenance using an artificial body donated by the United States Military.
