HAPPY IKARISHIPPING DAY! I'm not sure if I'm the only person who celebrates this anymore, but I wrote a oneshot anyways. Enjoy Ikarishippers!

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Dawn, Happy Birthday to you!" Sang the chorus of friends and family. Dawn's mom smiled and snapped a picture.

"Make a wish darling!" She exclaimed.

"I wish you would stop treating me like a child. I'm seventeen years old, Mom." Dawn said, pushing her chair out and stomping away. She trudged out to her backyard and planted herself under the tall willow tree in the center of her yard.

"Why am I still treated like I'm ten?" Dawn pondered aloud.

"Because," came the deep voice that startled the blunette. "You're her only child. She wants you to be her baby forever."
Dawn looked up to see Paul, looking as emotionless as a brick. "Oh, hi Paul. Was the cake good?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. You try it."

"I don't want any cake…." He looked at her. "Is there any left?"

"I think. So, what was your real wish?" Paul asked, sitting down next to Dawn.

"What are you taking about?" Dawn asked, picking a dandelion and playing with it.

"Your mom said make a wish, and I don't think it was for her to stop treating you like a child. What was it?"

"If I tell you, it won't come true then." She argued. Paul stood up.

"Fine, I'm leaving now." He started to walk away, but Dawn called after him.

"Wait! Stay with me. It's boring and lonely when I'm by myself." The boy returned to his spot next to the girl.

"Fine, but if you're going to make me hang out with you, we're not staying in your backyard." The boy once again stood up, but this time, he waited for the girl and they both went out the back gate together.

"Let's go for a drive! I love long drives in the sunset." Dawn said, smiling. "Can we? Please?"

Paul sighed. "Fine. Let's go." Dawn walked towards her white Ford Mustang, but Paul cleared his throat.

"What?" She asked irritated.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"I thought we were going for a drive."

"We are. On this." He pointed towards his red motorcycle.

"Uh, no, I am not getting on that thing." She said.

"Yes you are, if you want to go for a ride." She crossed her arms and reluctantly walked towards the motorcycle.

"Alright, I only have one helmet so you can wear mine." Paul said, placing the black helmet on her small head.

"But what about you?"

"I'll be fine." He hopped on the motorcycle. "Now get on."

Dawn climbed on and wrapped her arms around Paul. "Okay, let's go."

He started slow, but gradually went faster. "Please slow down! Besides, where are we even going?" Dawn asked.

"It's a secret."

"I don't like secrets."

"Too bad."

"Meanie."

"Brat."

"Jerk."

"Shut up."

"You started it!" Dawn whined.

Paul revved up the bike and made it go even faster, in which Dawn held on even tighter. The two bickered until Paul finally pulled into a secluded lake.

"Wow, it's pretty." Dawn said in awe. The freshwater lake has a big waterfall and various types of flowers.

"Yeah? I thought you'd like it." Paul said, taking the helmet off of Dawn's head.

"Thank you Paul. For sitting with me, for taking me here, thank you."

They both looked at each other.
"Dawn…" Paul whispered.

"Paul…" Dawn said, slowly leaning in. Their first kiss was slow and smooth.

"Wanna know what my wish was?" Dawn asked.

"I thought if you told me, it wouldn't come true."

"Oh, Paulie, it already did!"
