Note: Another old rough draft I found in my journal, might as well publish a good draft. The extended scene of Locke sobbing over the hatch after Boone's accident. Very short story.

John Locke ran through the jungle, vines and branches whipping against his arms and face. The blood of his injured friend, whom he had brought to the camp for medical treatment, had soaked into his clothing. Harsh emotions like guilt and anger pounded in his skull.

The middle aged man felt all the blame for Boone's injuries. If Locke had known that the plane wreckage was unsteady on the cliff, he would not have sent Boone up to investigate in the first place.

"Stupid old fool!" Locke cursed at himself. "Why did I let all of this happen?"

After running through darkness and trees, he found the hatch. Locke got on the top and knelt down over the window. Suddenly, Locke lost all control and broke down into sobs, pounding his fists on the hatch.

"I did everything you wanted me to do!" Locke shouted to the hatch. He felt that after all of his attempts to discover the meaning of the island, all what it had done was bring harm. "So why do this?"

Locke continued to sob, guilt of what happened to Boone plaguing him. Then, something caught Locke's eyes, a light in the hatch!

Staring with wonder, Locke probably found his answer.

Fin.

End Note: So that's my drabble about John Locke. Also, I wish to announce that I have a new poll on my profile. It's for voting which story idea people would like to see published, since I can't decide which story possibility I would like to work with.
