AN: This story is based around Pretty Poison by 12Stones. Give it a listen.I don't usually do songfics, but this wouldn't leave me alone. It's short, but the lyrics are great. There will be a companion piece from Beckett's pov. Aside from that I don't know if the story will continue or not.

This probably wasn't his best idea ever. Alexis was sleeping over at a friend's, his mother out chatting up some hot new playwright, and he found himself watching Moulin Rouge and taking a shot every time the word "Love" was said. He was gonna be drunk as a skunk in no time.
His mother had been right, he thought as he downed another. Set up another.
Good Lord, his mother was actually right.
Another shot. Maybe not the worst idea either. Maybe he'd pass out into a black and deadened oblivion. Oblivion was surely preferable to this misery he currently found himself in.
