A/N: This is just a random story I worked on just so I could write something funny. It features Apollo, Artemis, and some really bad poetry. Enjoy! R & R!
Artemis sighed and shook her head. She was really regretting coming to this poetry reading. Reason why? The "poetry reading" was just Apollo reciting bad haikus on Olympus.
Poetry is fun
I will recite it all day
If you give me money.
Apollo walked away to Artemis with the sound of godly groaning behind him.
"That last line was six syllables," Artemis said.
Apollo shrugged. "Oh, well. Even the most genius poets make mistakes." He launched into another verse.
I got last line wrong
It's five syllables, not six
It's really too bad.
Apollo grinned. "See, little sis? That one was perfect. Soon, people will quote my poems like Robert Frost."
Perfect is a matter of opinion, Artemis thought. "Don't call me little sis. How many times-"
She was just ignored.
My poetry class
Is helping me out a lot
I am getting smart.
"How are you getting into a poetry class, anyway?" Artemis wondered.
"Oh, I just use my homeless guy named Fred disguise." He paused. "Hey, that gives me an idea!"
I was in disguise
People said that I looked weird
But I didn't care.
Wow, that one was really bad. Artemis had to stop this. And how better to do that than with a poem of her own?
"Apollo," she demanded, "listen to this."
My brother can't write a poem
It's really annoying me
Wish there was a way I could show him
Just how great it would be
If he'd write better poems this instant
And recite them skillfully
'Cause my brother can't write a poem
And it's really annoying me!
Artemis took a deep breath, then let it back out. "So, what did you think?"
Apollo looked to the side and scratched his chin, as if the question was a challenging one.
"Seriously, how was it?"
Apollo looked at his twin and said, "Meh. Not really my thing. Haikus are much cooler."
Artemis, to say the least, was furious. Apollo just laughed. He then skipped away, saying:
Little Sis is mad
She don't like my poetry
I think that's just mean.
A/N: So, do you like it? Love it? Hate it? Let me know and review!
