"Cap'n!" Gibbs voice was barely audible over the crashes and thundering from the surrounding storm. "We should cast anchor!"
"In this storm?!" Ana Maria's shrill voice rang out. "Are ye mad?"
"Aye!" Gibbs challenged the female pirate.
In response, Ana Maria faced Gibbs and simply said, "We shall all be killed."
"We will not be casting an anchor here." Captain Jack Sparrow stood on the deck above them, a devilish grin across his handsome face.
"Where be ye compass pointin' us, sir?" Ana Maria shouted.
"To treasure and riches galore." Jack snapped the compass closed and returned to steering the ship. His sharp yanks and pulls on the wheel sent the mast flying from left to right continuously. The crew was careful to not get knocked off the ship this way. It was a lesson to be learned and a tough one at that.
"We cannot face this storm, Cap'n. She is tougher than any the Pearl's been up against yet." Gibbs yelled, tending to the flyaway ropes.
"Aye that it is." Jack Sparrow responded, continuing to steer the Pearl further towards the eye of the storm. The weather continued in its fury. Waves bounded up upon the main deck knocking over anything in their paths. "Brace yourself, mates!"
As soon as jack shouted the warning a large wave crashed directly on the deck. The crew was tossed left and right by the force of the tempest. In all the commotion, the crew beckoned the assistance of their captain.
"Jack!" Gibbs shouted, attempted to tame the sails.
"Aye?!" Captain Jack appeared on the main deck, among the bustling crew and blustering storm.
"Cap'n, look out!"
Suddenly a massive wave crashed over the ship, cracking a mast. With a shout, Jack Sparrow was knocked over board and taken out to sea, left to face the storm alone.
