Hiya! Its me, and I got this idea when I was re-watching A Deadly Game. I love the case, but all the emotional stuff brings me down. I feel so bad for Beckett :(. But not as bad as I feel for Castle in Countdown. There is always one person in a relationship that loves the other more then that other person loves them, and that person is Castle. I think he loves Beckett more than she loves him, and it will always be that way. What do you think? Anyways, this is my story.
Lanie watched her best friend's heart break through the door in the breakroom. Even if she wouldn't admit it (which she almost just did), the girl had some serious feelings for Writer Boy. She could tell that it took a lot of strength on Kate's part not to burst out in tears. Being her loyal best friend, Lanie knew that she needed to get out of here before she actually did burst into tears. Poor girl. "Hey." Lanie said while lying a hand on Kate's shoulder to comfort her. Kate sucked in a deep breath and faced her friend's sympathetic look. "What?" She said, trying to play dumb, and not succeeding at all. Lanie gave her a look. "Don't 'what?' me!" She said, but in a less scalding tone that when she had last said it. "C'mon," She said, while grabbing her purse from off of his chair. That boy was going to get some trouble when he gets back, but right now she needed to take care of her girl. "let's go get some drinks, ok?" She asked quietly and soothingly. Kate just nodded. They walked out of the precinct and Lanie called a cab. She told the driver her address but told him to stop at a liquor store to get Kate's favorite. A vodka martini of course.
A couple of hours later they were laughing on Lanie's couch, both just a tad drunk. "I promise you girl, if you want him to come back this fall, I will drag him in here by his ear. I you don't want him back, then I will drag him out by his ear!" Lanie said. Kate suddenly sobered up. Lanie instantly regretted mentioning Castle. "Honey, I'm sorry, I shouldn't of brought him up I-" Lanie began, but was cut off. "No, that's not it. I just wanted to...Thank you. For...for everything." Lanie just smiled. "It's what I'm here for."
