Author Note: I hope that you enjoy this one take Monday storyline. This storyline was supposed to be a full time storyline. I hope that you enjoy it. The aftermath to Joelle's betrayal will be posted in about two weeks!
Character Summary:
Callen is a single father of two children while trying to make sure that the world is safe for everyone.
Callen walked into his house after a long day. He was happy that he could make the world a safer place for his son and daughter.
"Daddy!" his daughter yelled for him as he sat down.
"Hey baby girl. How was your day?" He asked his daughter as his baby sitter left.
"Pretty good. We went to the park and then a movie." his son said to his father as he walked into the room.
"Buddy, what is wrong?" Callen responded to his son.
"I miss mommy." his son said to his father. He too missed their mom. They had lost her last year because of a drive by shooting. The kids had saw it and Callen knew that they were scared that it would happen to him. They had managed to find the man that killed his wife and put him away.
"Buddy, I know. I miss her too." He responded to his son with a sad smile.
The next morning, Callen woke up and knew that he was going to have to go after more bad people to protect his children. He felt this guilt knowing that he was unable to save his wife but he would be darn if he could not save his children but these bad men.
