"Cora, I love you!" David shouted it over and over, but she just kept
walking. There was no way that she could not hear him; she as obviously
choosing to ignore him.
Running to catch up, he took hold of her elbows and forced her to look
into his moist eyes. "Listen to me! I love you. I would rather die a thousand
deaths than have you feel even a second of discomfort. When I see you cry it
might as well be raining: it's like there's a flood in my soul. Please, don't
leave me. I'll do anything!"
For a moment David thought she would accept his love, would let him hold
her and be with her forever. Her emerald-colored eyes looked almost loving...
"Leave me alone! I hate you!" Her eyes could actually have been made of
emerald, they were so hard. Her gaze was like a sword, stabbing through to
David's very heart and shattering it into a million pieces.
"But...I-I never hurt you! A-all I did was love y-you!" He stuttered
through a waterfall of tears.
She began to walk away again, indifferent. "Whatever." Cora passed
through the doors and out of his life.
David fell to the floor in agony and let the tears come. "Cora! Cora!
Why?" He screamed, as though his cries would undo it all. He fell into a fetal
position as his cries turned to whispers. "Cora..."
David never saw her again.

Cora's indefference to sucha great love seems pretty stupid, doesont it?
If a guy ever poured his heart out to me like that, I'd be his in half a
heartbeat. How can she walk away?
The same could be asked of many people today. So many have been told of
God's great love for them - how He, the KING OF THE UNIVERSE - traveled from the
comfort of His thrown to die for us, us sinners. He loves us that much! Yet
most of the people who have hear this message ignore it, throwing away not
only the greatest love EVER, but their eternal life. Some even spit in His face,
doing what they know is wrong. I believe that God cries every time someone is
lost. Do we really want to make Him cry?
"...He does not want anyone to perish..." ~2 Peter 3:9 NLT
Well, if He cries when someone turns, what happens when someone is saved?
"I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one
sinner who repents than over a thousand righteous persons who need not to
repent." ~Luke 15:7 NIV
If you haven't made Christ the ruler of your life, ,think of this little
fanfic as your invitation to a heavenly party. However, you must R.S.V.P. You
don't have to call or anything, just tell God that you've realized how
much he loves you and want to be His. Admit that you've messed up, but now
you're willing to try to be better.
If Cora would have walked back in those doors, David GLADLY would have
taken her back and forgiven everything. God is the same way with us. No matter
what we've said or done before, He'll take us back. And then He'll throw a party.
