Old idea now with twenty-five percent more words; gasp-p, a rewrite? A small one at that.

"This isn't what I want… it's not even close to what I aimed for." - Anton shied away, turning his head as a clawed hand reached to cradle his cheek, the intense stare from the golden eyes burning on his skin. A snarl was heard, and the scientist kept his eyes focused on what lay outside of his office.

"I thought you wanted power like this…" - the spirit's other hand waved out to emphasize his point - "… Power to rule the world."

Anton shook his head, turning slightly to glare at the dinosaur from the corner of his sight, disgusted as he spat out - "I wanted the advancement of technological paleontology, not world domination."

"And that's what you'll get…" - the old spirit hissed out - "…That's what you'll get when Earth goes back into the prehistoric ages."

"Humans will die if that happens!" - the millionare checked himself after yelling; no one else knew about what happened during his experiment and he wasn't alone - "...I want the two to coexist in the present age." - he whispered, pushing away from both his desk and the dinosaur that hovered above it.

"That's too selfish of you, Mercer. You want too much and sacrifice so little."

"And you're nothing but an unwelcome intruder. Why do you still linger around me?"

"Because you're weak and confused." - and Anton's eyes widened, taking in the words - the insults - before pushing himself from his armchair, walking quickly away from the entire situation as the dinosaur laughed at his back.
