Vanilla Twilight

A little note before you read the prolouge, they were all nineteen when this happened. They were in college and they had their own apartments, Ulrich and Odd shared an apartment since they're best friends of course and Jeremie and Aelita shared an apartment for the obvious reason (personally I'm more off an Odd X Aelita fan, but I had to do it) and Yumi was living on her own. k.? k. ^,^

Prologue

It's been 2 years since that horrible day. The day when Yumi died in a terrible accident. What kind of accident.? You may ask, well a car accident.

Flashback..

No One's POV

Yumi as on her way to visit Ulrich for their date that night.

She was almost there when her phone rang, she answered it,

"Hello.?" she asked.

'Hey Yumi.!" A familiar voice said on the other side of the phone she immediately recognized it as her best friend Aelita.

"What's up, Aelita.?"

"Just calling to see what you were up to."

"Oh, I'm on my way to Ulrich's for our date. I'm driving there right now.! I'm just right around the corner." I said as happy as ever.

"That's cool.! Where are you guys go-" she was suddenly interrupted by the screech of tires, and a scream that seemed to come from Yumi.

"Yumi.!"

No answer.

"YUMI.!"

When she still didn't receive an answer, she hung up, grabbed her car keys, called 911, and headed to where Yumi said she was.

"911. What is your emergency.?"

"Hello.? I was on the phone with my friend when I heard tires screech and I heard her yell. I believe she was in a car accident."

"Do you know where she was at the time.?"

"Last she said she was on Elm Street, so I believe she was on the corner of Elm and Maple since she was going to her boyfriends house. Please send an ambulance as quick as possible."

"Ok. We'll be right there."

With that Aelita hung up and called Ulrich.

Ulrich's POV

I heard his phone ring and answered it,

"Hello.?" I said.

"Ulrich.! Hurry up and come to the corner of Elm and Maple.! I was on the phone with Yumi and I believe she was in a car accident.! HURRY.!"

"Ok Aelita. I'm on my way.!"

I said as I ran out the apartment and hung up my phone.

I knew it wasn't far away so I ran as fast as I could.

As soon as I got there, I saw an ambulance and a few police cars, and then I saw my pink headed friend waving me over.

So I ran up to her, as soon as I got there I saw Yumi on the gurney being lifted into the ambulance. We asked if we could ride with her to the hospital and they agreed.

When we got there they told us to wait in the waiting room, and they'd let us know if she was fine as soon as possible.

After a while, a doctor came over to us with a very sad look on his face.

He sighed then opened his mouth and said,

"Mr. Ulrich Stern, and Mrs. Aelita Schaeffer.? He asked.

We both nodded.

"It seems that Yumi Ishiyama died upon impact in the car accident, it appears it was a drunk driver who hit her. I'm very sorry for your loss." he said then he walked away.

I looked at Aelita and I saw her crying, which is expected they were best friends. Since she wasn't looking at me I turned away and let the tears silently fall down my face. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked over and saw Aelita looking at me sadly.

Then I finally said, "Hey Aelita, we should get going, lets go to my place and tell the rest of the gang and Yumi's parents so they can tell her brother."

She nodded and we left without a word.

Then we called everyone and told them what happened. Then Aelita went back to her apartment with Jeremy, and Odd came home with his date, since he was on a date.

Everyone was taking it really hard, but not as hard as I was, I loved her with all my heart and I still do.
