Sup, everybody!? Hope your having a great day! I thought that since Father's Day is here, I'd write a little oneshot, seeing as I need to get myself a bit more involved in this site. So, without further adieu, I give you Father's Day! Enjoy!

DISCLAIMER: I don't own Zootopia. Don't sue me!

Father's Day had always been special for Nick Wilde, a nine year old fox cub. His pop was pretty special himself, after all. John Wilde loved his son with all his heart. He was the best father his son could ever ask for. So every year on Father's Day, Nick would wake up especially early, a feat not easily accomplished by a nocturnal animal, go downstairs and wait for his dad to wake up. Usually "Honest" John, as his friends called him, was down the stairs about ten minutes after his son awoke. NIck would always quietly sneak up behind his Dad, give him a hug, and whisper "Happy Father's Day."

Then Nick and his father would eat a special breakfast prepared by Nick's amazing mother, Francine, which usually consisted of blueberry pancakes, portabella mushrooms, and eggs. Then Nick and his Father would spend the entire day together, going to the local park, getting ice cream, and just having a wonderful time. It was Nick and his Dad against the world. Then, at night, as Nick's father tucked him into bed, he would tell him of the legend of Robin Hood.

Robin Hood was likely the most famous fox known to mammalian kind, and he was Nick's saving grace. Even as Nick began toeing the moral line after his father died in a tragic car accident when he was ten, a small part deep in his subconscious knew that the fox he had become was not who he was meant to be. As he started hustling with Finnick and associating with Mr. Big, he lost sight of the fox his father wanted him to be.

Until he met Judy Hopps. The bunny, small and cute as she was, had turned his world upside down without even trying. He soon trusted her with his life, his history, and even his heart. As soon as the words "predator biology" came out of her buck-toothed mouth, it all broke into smithereens. He had lowered his defenses, and left himself vulnerable. And it had bit him back. Hard. He did all that he knew how to do. Lash out. Break her in recompense for what she had broken.

After her heart-rending (and healing) confession, under the bridge three months and an epiphany later, they slipped back into their dynamic of joking, borderline flirting, and snarking back and forth. They got to the bottom of the case quickly, and discovered there a wolf that was quite literally in sheep's clothing. It was terrifying to see someone so cruel come stalking out of left field, to see someone who appeared innocent be cruel. It really pounded into him that what society expected could twist one into a mammal like Bellwether.

From then on, he swore that society's expectations could be defied, and that if they were going to see a sneaky, sly, conniving, fox, he was sure as heck going to change it. Like Robin Hood. Like his Father.

The sound of tiny feet behind him caught Nick's attention. His daughter, Jade, was hardly ever awake this early in the morning, and he knew Judy was already on her usual morning jog. Then he felt two tiny arms wrap around his waist.

"Happy Father's Day, Dad," Jade said, sounding only half awake.

Nick's eyes stung. From the moment Judy had told him he was going to be a father, he had been a bit emotional. He still cried like Judy under the bridge every time Jade told him she loved him before going to bed.

Willing his voice to remain stable, he replied.

"Thank you sweetheart. Now, what should we do this year?"

And that's a wrap, people! I hope enjoyed! I typed this up, like, 2-3 years ago, so I decided to finish it and post it. Please review! Thanks so much,
