Was someone following him? He looked around for like the tenth time in the last hour. Alex Rider was walking home from school, which he never particularly liked. Being a teen spy wasn't as cool as it sounded. It was hard, dangerous and above all scary. Alex looked at his watch and saw that it was almost three. Jack would be worried so he ran home. He burst through the door.

"Jack! I'm home!" Alex yelled but the place seemed deserted. "Jack you there!" Alex didn't panic; Jack had played this trick on him before. He came home from school one day but Jack wasn't there. he was freaking out when Jack came in laughing. It was then he realized that he had been tricked.

Alex continued searching, but soon gave up. She will come out when she gets bored, he decided. so he got some left over spaghetti from the fridge and went up to his room to read his book.

It had been awhile was jack still hiding? Jack wasn't the person to wait things out. Alex got up and walked down stairs. Again he got that feeling that someone was watching him. He looked around seeing nothing out of place so he shrugged and went into the kitchen. Alex looked around a little more then came to the conclusion that Jack went shopping. She probably forgot to write a note. This answer satisfied him so he grabbed a can of root beer and climbed back to his room. Just as he settled down two huge beefy hands shot out of nowhere and clamped his mouth shut. Alex screamed but it was muffled. Two men emerged from the shadows both that were huge, somewhat ugly and had enough mussel to make a pro wrestler run away crying. "Nice job Hank we did it now let's get out of here before someone spots us". Alex struggled but he was no match for the two men.

Jane walked into the kitchen to find her mother there making dinner. She plopped down and ate her meatloaf, mashed potatoes and feed her Lima beans to her dog when her parents weren't looking. When she was finished she mumbled something about her going on a walk. She grabbed up a small bag of Pringles and walked out the door. Jane pulled her wavy brown hair into a ponytail and fixed her chocolate brown eyes on the road before her. Her parents never worried when she went out walking alone, the road she lived on was small and very few people lived there. Her closes neighbor lived about a football field away. She had been walking for a while when she saw two men that looked like they could do push-ups with their pinky dragging a boy to a car. The boy was kick and screaming for help but one of the men had his hand clamped over his mouth so his voice was muffled. Jane ran forward and called out "hey!". She had her cell phone out and was dialing nine one one when one of the two men took her phone and crushed it. He picked her up without a word and they stuffed the two kids into the car.
