I just wanted to make something sad, and this is what I came up with-
He loves her.
It's wrong, he knows.
But he couldn't help it.
Falling in love with her.
It's a sin, he knows.
But with her sweet smiles, beautiful laughter, it was impossible.
He fell in love in her before he even noticed.
He tried keeping it in. That didn't last very long. It was torturing him secretly.
But she didn't notice.
They were sleeping in the same bed, he tried to seperate themselves, but she was stubborn.
Too stubborn.
In the end, they both got their seperate rooms.
He wasn't exactly pleased with that, but if she doesn't get hurt by him, it's okay.
She didn't take it very well.
She begged him to come back, saying that she was scared of sleeping alone, that the monsters were going to get her.
She must've been lying. They're 14 of course.
He thought, 'Maybe she actually likes me back.' but he shook it away as that'll ever happen.
Well, it never happened away.
1 year later, she got a boyfriend. Kaito. He was the school's most popular boy.
He absolutely despised him. He was the one who made his life miserable.
Beating him up, getting him embarassed, threatening him.
Sure it may have been bullying like every other person has been going through.
But he was also in love with her.
That's worse.
He deserves this, he always thought. This is his punishment.
Slowly, he drifted away from her. She always wondered why,
But she forgot about him in the end anyways,
Of course, there has to be a time when he snaps.
He caught her with her boyfriend, doing that, in her bedroom.
She was all embarrassed while she slammed the door in his face.
All he wanted was to apologize...
But this just wanted him to let everything out.
Now comes the confession.
One week later, he caught her in the kitchen, eating oranges, happily texting her boyfriend on her cellphone.
This is it. It's all or never.
"I love you." He said.
She turned around, facing him, "What did you say?"
"Rin. I love you."
"...You love me? As a sister?"
"...No...as...a woman..." He choked.
She made a surprised look then it gradually turned into a disgusted one.
"You're disgusting."
That broke his heart.
He was done.
He finally gathered up his courage to tell her but...she responded in the worst possible way.
And now.
It can never go back to the way it was.
