I know, I know, this one doesn't really rhyme. It doesn't make very much sense either, for that matter...
Anyway, this is told from Yami Yuugi's (Atem's, if you want to get technical) point of view. The him that is referred to is Yami Bakura, and the person being protected is Ryou. Just thought I'd clear that up.
