I've been dreaming forever
With nothing to show,

As for why I don't know.
For a while I've known that your'e already taken,
I keep telling myself that everyone's just mistaken...
That you two aren't together
That the lack of a ring,
Means everyone's just guessing,
That they know nothing.
I've been dreaming forever
of that special day,
When you realize your wrongs,
And push her out of the way...
When you find that your destiny
Wasn't as obvious as it seemed,
That your love was a lie,
She was just way to mean...
And the one with blonde tresses
and that little black dress,
Shall be wiped from your memory
As you passionately
confess...
That you've always loved me,
that every time I smile,
Your heart starts to beat,
Like you just ran a mile...
And as you lean in close,
for our very first kiss,
I'll hear wedding bells ringing,
And hope you don't miss...
So I follow you around,
Living in this fantasy,
Hoping that someday...
