Warren's Good Day
Warren Peace was not known for his good disposition; quite the opposite, in fact. So, when he walked in to school smiling, people were understandably a little nervous; especially when you took in the matter of his absence for the last week following the mysterious destruction of the entrance hall.
Warren, being the adorably oblivious boy that he his, thought nothing of people avoiding him. He was, after all, used to it. He made it through the day with only a few mishaps, mostly due to the fact that he was seriously starting to creep people out.
Warren made his way over to where his friends were sitting in the cafeteria, still with that smile on his face, puzzled when Layla frowned at him as he sat down across from her.
"What's the matter with you guys? Didn't you miss me?" He asked.
They shot worried glances at each other before motioning to Will. "Well Warren," he began slowly, "you did almost kill me last week."
"What that?" Warren scoffed. "That was nothing! I just had a little problem with… Certain people. It's all taken care of now, honest! Look." He leaned towards Will, motioning a gloved hand toward his neck.
Will squinted, reaching trembling fingers to the necklace he was just now noticing around Warren's neck.
"Is that... Are those computer chips around your neck?!" Will exclaimed.
Warren let a crazy grin slide across his features and leaned in closer to Will. "Remember my note from last week?"
Will nodded slowly, unsure of where the pyro was going with this.
"Well let's just say those… Certain people will never forget my name again." To Will's surprise, Warren's grin grew even wider. "I snuck into their houses and stole the hard drives off their computers!"
Warren's voice had dropped down to a whisper and he glanced furtively around, only continuing when he was sure no one was listening to them. "Then, just so they would know who did it, I wrote my name on their computer screens!" Warren then proceeded to giggle uncontrollably.
Will looked thoughtful for a second and then began to laugh as well.
Why spoil Warren's good day?
