Why didn't she move when she had the chance to?
Why didn't she quit when I told her to?
I told her it didn't make sense at all. Although I was only seventeen at the time, I could recognize danger easily. And something, somewhere in my mind, warned me it was dangerous.
I tried to warn her as well, but she said «You need us». And she was right, once more. In fact, when wasn't she? She knew all the answers to all the questions we could think of.
She just didn't answer me when I said I loved her. Well, not right then. I still remember our first kiss. I didn't do anything: the next day after my declaration, she came to me, raised her hands to touch my face and then kissed me. I felt like daydreaming when her lips touched mines. I had been waiting for that for so long I couldn't even remember when I started feeling that way.
And then, she said: You need us, Harry.
But I knew I needed her mostly. She had always been there by my side and I couldn't retrieve that. She heard all of my complains not arguing most of times, she helped me with my homework, she always kept my secrets deep inside herself and most of all, she was my friend.
For the first time, I felt like a normal child. I had someone by my side.
She knows it's dangerous, for the both of us, being together. But, honestly, I think she doesn't care.
I had, not just a friend by my side, but the most important person to me. And I think that's what had made me who I am now.
Then, I think it's your turn now to say « I love you ».
