Bra'tac stood next to the bed of his injured friend. "I would not like to be the one who opposes you."

"I have learned from the best, old friend," Teal'c replied.

The older Jaffa looked at the younger with honest eyes. "I have not said this to you before and I should have." He paused to make his statement all the more poignant. "You are the son I never had. I could not be more proud."

Teal'c placed his hand on Bra'tac's arm and looked at him with gratitude. They remained in companionable silence for a moment.

"I will leave you to rest now." Bra'tac began to leave the room.

"Before I rest, I wish to speak with Colonel Mitchell."

Bra'tac bowed his head slightly in understanding. He had heard about the fight between the two. "I will let him know."

-----A little later-----

Cameron walked into the observation room in which Teal'c lay. "Hey, big guy. How ya feelin'?"

"I will be fine, Colonel Mitchell."

"Good to hear." Cam swaggered over to sit next to Teal'c's bed. "So, Bra'tac said you wanted to talk to me."

"Indeed," the Jaffa answered. "I feel it necessary to apologize to you."

Cameron looked at him with a bit of surprise. "Oh?"

"Yes. I am sorry for having to… beat you up."

The younger man smiled. "Hey, it isn't the first time it's happened. And I understand. I've heard about the whole 'Jaffa revenge thing'. Don't sweat it."

Teal'c lifted one eyebrow slightly, but understood what he was being told. He could not help thinking that he would never quite understand Earth sayings. "I will try not to, Colonel Mitchell, however I am concerned with your fighting tactics."

"What?" Cam stood and looked down on Teal'c. "What do you mean?"

Teal'c kept his face stoic, though he was hiding a smile. "I think perhaps, once I am healed, that we need to start sparing with each other so that you are able to improve your methods."

"Oh, come on! There is nothing wrong with my 'methods'!"

Teal'c simply lifted one eyebrow high and stared directly at Cameron.

Cam crossed his arms. "Well… in general… by HUMAN terms… my 'methods' are just fine."

"I will admit that your stubbornness can come in handy when facing a persistent opponent."

The colonel smiled and let out a chuckle. "You know, Teal'c, I'm not the only one in this room that's stubborn."

Teal'c stared blankly at his friend for a moment, then let a small smile escape. He nodded slightly. "I suppose you are correct, Colonel Mitchell."

"Indeed," Cam said, doing his best Teal'c impression. He then sat back down in the chair next to the bed. "Indeed."
