A walk in my shoes
Take a walk through dirty streets, see the sights and feel the beat
Peering through dirty glass, watching normal people pass
Wishing I could be like them, hanging with family and normal friends
Take a walk in the city park, lay in the grass and hear the dogs bark
Never thinking that you might, end up dead in a fight
But thats what every day is like, in my shoes
Meandering slowly through the streets, watching happy families eat
Im always close but never near, to what they all hold so dear
What they take for granted, love, I can only dream of that
So come for a day, take a walk in my shoes
Feel the beat, the downtown blues
Hear the beep and take the call, save the day, the Titans call
Race to the scene, dodge an attack, join the others
Then fight back, feel the pain, the battle rage
Watch your back, you know you dont get paid?
Collapse, worn and tired out, on the couch and drift on out
Into the land of sleep, the only place of peace for me
Wake up and then do it all over again
So come take a walk in my shoes, just for one lousy day
And maybe if you take a walk in my shoes...can I take a walk in yours?
*authors note* something I was thinking about for the Titans. Choose who
you think it means, I am not telling who I wrote it about ( it could mean
any of them though so pick who ya want. I whipped this up in about 10 min
so it is not to good but then who knows?
