A/N: Written for the Digimon Flash Bingo, #469 – just a little more.
just a little more
They were three Dark Masters down. One left to go. Just a little more and they'd be home free.
But would they really? They were still in pieces. Matt and Gabumon on their own somewhere. Mimi and Joe and their partners too. And even the then of them, split up and reunited but not one again, not yet.
Tai could feel Izzy's gaze boring into him as he walked.
There'd be another argument soon. Another fractionation.
Just a little more… But could they handle that, divided as they were? They couldn't. It was a miracle they'd handled what they had it was a different sort of miracle they needed in final battles. They'd had a few, after all: against Devimon, against Etemon, against Myotismon…and now, against Piedmon too.
They'd run out of time. To find themselves. To find their friends. To find their power: their doubts, their realisations, and most importantly what they meant to the team and to each other.
Just a little more… And that had to be enough. Because there was one last Dark Master left, and the clock was winding down.
