To Fight One's Demons
A/N: This is basically a poem about Vincent's Demon counterparts, Galian, Gigas, Hellmasker, and Chaos and how he has to deal with the monsters for the rest of eternity. I'm not that good at poetry, but how hard could it be, huh? Anyway, Read and Review, People!
I am never alone,
Accompanied for the rest of perpetuity,
By four demonic creatures,
Who make use of my body as their vessel,
To travel through the world of man,
Wreaking destruction wherever I go,
The first: a beast of purple skin and eyes of fire,
The second: a Frankenstein monstrosity, wielding the immense power of lightning and strength unrivaled by any other,
The third: a chainsaw brandishing murderer, the blade of his chainsaw coated in deadly poison,
The fourth became my companion by my own choice,
His name: Chaos, a devil with eyes of bloody red.
They take control,
When my rage consumes me,
Bursting forth from agonizingly from my body,
Transforming me into a perverted freak of nature,
My consciousness is replaced by their desire for bloodshed,
I have no control over my own soul.
The only option I have left is to isolate myself,
Seal off all human contact,
Penance for my failure to protect her,
Lucrecia…,
Your lover did this to me,
He took my arm,
He took my soul,
He took you from me,
Lucrecia…,
Hojo made me immortal,
Cursed to forever roam the Planet,
Unable to die.
I have isolated myself once again,
Not for penance,
But for fear,
Fear of harming my comrades,
With my uncontrollable monsters,
Who I had once fought alongside,
To destroy the one that she had left behind,
Sephiroth,
Once again the great Vincent Valentine is forced to hide,
To save his friends,
From death by my own hand.
But, one must learn to fight their Demons,
As I constantly fight mine,
They are extremely powerful, yes,
But they all have a limitation,
That I must find,
In order to combat the four,
That control my mind,
Or be consumed by my own soul for the rest of time.
-Vincent Valentine.
