A/N: Okay, so I was WhatsApping (?) with a friend and I started sending pictures of Nine and he asked "Are they [Eccleston's ears] bigger than [Colin] Morgan's?" and I came up with this. I'm sorry I haven't updated any of my stories in so long (a week or so... Too long). School's draining me, but I promise to update more regularly. I might post more of these one-shots (funny or sad or so) during the week because they're shorter and easier to write (I don't have to be checking episodes and transcripts every five seconds). Anyway, it might be (it probably is) a bit OOC, but it's a crack fic, so I guess I can allow myself that tiny detail. I hope you like it!
It's the Ears!
"Merlin, I think his ears might be bigger than yours," Arthur commented. Merlin and the Doctor gave him an annoyed look.
"Are you sure? Because his are pretty big," Rose said.
"Oi!" The Doctor protested.
"Thank you?" Merlin asked, unsure of whether it was a compliment or not.
"You're welcome." Rose grinned at him. Okay, so maybe it was a compliment.
"Maybe..." Arthur trailed off.
"Although maybe you're right. Maybe the Doctor's are bigger." Rose brought a hand to her chin and observed the Doctor and Merlin's ears.
"Let me see." Arthur did the same. They all stayed silent for a while, the Doctor annoyed and Merlin uncomfortable at being observed. "No, Merlin's are bigger," Arthur finally decided.
"Really?" Rose asked.
"Yes, look at this." Arthur grabbed Merlin's ear. "You see?"
"Ow!" Merlin complained.
"Don't be such a girl, Merlin." Arthur rolled his eyes.
"Okay, I've got a brilliant idea!" Rose clapped her hands. "I'll go get a measuring tape. This is an urgent matter," she said, and ran back to the TARDIS.
When she finally found the measuring tape (it took her about five minutes), she entered the console, ready to exit the TARDIS, when she stopped right on her tracks. The Doctor was pushing some buttons on the console.
"What're you doing?" She asked him.
"We're leaving."
"No, we're not." Rose held up the measuring tape. "Like I said, this is an urgent matter."
The Doctor groaned, but in the end, Rose dragged him out of the TARDIS and they measured the Doctor's and Merlin's ears.
"I knew it!" Arthur looked smug. "Merlin's ears are bigger."
"Can we go now?" The Doctor gave them another annoyed look.
"We've got to go as well. They're expecting us back at Camelot." Merlin was equally annoyed.
"Oh, oh! Camelot! Doctor, we can't leave! We haven't seen Camelot yet!" Rose looked like an excited five-year-old when told that they could have sweets.
"You're welcome to stay at the castle for as long as you want," Arthur proposed.
"We're staying!" Rose exclaimed.
The Doctor and Merlin groaned. That meant Arthur and Rose would keep teasing them about how big their ears were. In fact, they did that during the entire walk back to Camelot.
