*David's Point of View*

I kept running down the hallway attempting to dodge people and not hit them with my bag. Unfortunately, I wasn't super successful. Maybe hitting only one or two people, I apologized to each person as I hit them. Once they realized who I was, they didn't seem too upset.

"David, you can run faster! I can keep up!" I heard someone yell from behind me.

I sped up my pace only a little bit. I wanted Liz and my mom to still make it to the gate the same time I did. I had ten minutes before my boarding time and the gate was three or five minutes away. I sped u just a bit more and I reached my gate with only a few minutes until my boarding time.

Liz stopped right in front of me and I dropped my bag and wrapped my arms around her. She was so close to crying, but I knew she was trying to hide it. I loosened on my grip a little and she followed my actions. I quickly kissed her and looked at her with a half smile.

"I love you so much Liz." I told her.

"I love you too." She said.

"I promise I will call you as soon as I land okay? Be good." I kissed her forehead.

"Alright." She said half smiling.

I took my bag and walked over to the desk. Once all my papers and boarding pass was approved, I walked over to the hallway leading to the plane and looked over at Liz. I waved and told her that I loved her. She waved back and tried to keep the first tear from falling down her face.

I picked up my bag one more time and began walk down to my plane. I glanced back and saw my mom comforting Liz. I turned around and got on my plane and found my seat. I waited fifteen minutes for everyone else to get settled and when we began to move for take off, I was already missing my best friend.
