I wrote this kind of late at night, so sorry if it sucks. Please remember to review!
Harry and Ginny Potter stood at their front door and watched Lily, their youngest, walk to the end of the garden path. When she arrived at the gate, she turned and smiled at her parents, who waved goodbye. Lily then Disapparated with a loud crack, leaving Harry and Ginny with upraised hands and sad smiles. Harry put an arm around his wife, and together they turned and went back inside the house.

"Well, that's finally the last of them," Harry joked as he settled onto the sofa, handing Ginny a cup of tea.
"Now I won't have anyone to help with the housework!" Ginny mock-complained, grinning. The she sighed. "What will we do now, Harry?"
"I don't know," her husband admitted. "Our lives have revolved around the kids for so long, I feel at a loss already."
"I feel the same way. We had some good times, though. We'll always have those memories."
"We will." Harry smiled.
"Remember when James first came of age? He was casting spells left, right and centre." Ginny remembered.
"He'd been doing that for years though." They both laughed. "How about when Albus got his owl, and Lily thought it was trying to attack her?"
"She's still convinced it was trying to savage her, even now," Ginny said. "She mentioned it to me this morning, actually."
"Seriously?"
"Seriously."
"Wow." There was a pause. "James was terrified of baths, remember?"
"Yes! There was that time we searched all over the house for him because it was bath-time, and all the time the little ratbag was actually hiding in the bath!"
"I remember that." Another pause. "All these years, and all we have left is memories."
"Well, not quite."
Harry frowned. "What do you mean?"
Ginny grinned mischievously. "The kids did leave a lasting impression. They gave you grey hairs"
"What?! Where?"
Ginny gently touched a spot behind her husband's left ear. "Right there," she said, smiling.
Harry stood up and hurried over to the mirror above the mantelpiece, angling his head to see the dreaded grey hair. A quick wave of his wand, a muttered incantation, and he returned to his seat, satisfied. "Problem solved," he grinned, earning a playful shove from his wife.
"Cheat," she accused, before pulling him into a tight hug. "Don't you ever leave me," she growled into his ear. "I couldn't lose another one."
"Neither could I," Harry agreed, and kissed her cheek, holding her close.
Harry and Ginny Potter had lost their children, but they still had each other. Neither would let go, and they both knew that it would always be this way. Forever.
