Author's Note/ Warnings?: Anyways, this is my second fanfiction. I just wanted to put something up, and I'm working to update it. But for now, this might be it. I usually use human names for the Hetalia characters, and the name I use for Seychelles is Victoria. Thank you and have fun reading.
Victoria needed to get away for a bit. Her job suddenly seemed like too much, too demanding, too stressful, too tiring.
Paperwork seemed to pile up no matter how many forms she filled out, more seemed to take their place. She made important decisions, and still, her people were always worrying. Floods were a problem as well, and having to manage all of this was taking a toll on her, leaving her her in a vulnerable state.
She had barely slept in the past few days, with dark circles under her eyes to prove it. Half-full cups of coffee could be found in various places throughout the house, the sink full of dirty dishes. Her thoughts were only that of her country, with no consideration of her own condition. She occasionally took a break to eat a few slices of a mango, or a banana, yet these breaks were uncommon and short.
Victoria now paced around her office, a stack of papers in her arms, talking on the phone at the same time. 'No matter what, my country matters more to me than anything else, and I am willing to go just a few nights without sleeping. I mean, I don't technically need sleep. My country needs me,' She thought as she talked on the phone, planning the next World Meeting with Alfred. She nodded tiredly, mumbling a few answers, without paying much attention to what he was saying. "-you really would do that? That's great! You gotta be prepared for all of us, though." She caught the tail end of his speech, her head snapping up, focusing on the conversation more closely now. "What?" She asked, her confusion plain on her face. "Well, last time, Ludwig didn't have any food or ANYTHING, and he wouldn't even let us talk about anything other than our countries and that kinda stuff," Alfred whined over the phone. Recognition flared in Victoria's mind as she realized what she agreed to. "Um, sure. That won't be a problem," She replied, cutting off Alfred's complaining. "Why don't you go and inform everyone else about the meeting?" She added as an afterthought. "Sure! I'll do that!" Alfred's voice was cut off as she ended the call, slumping in her seat.
"Why would I agree to that?" She asked herself, shuffling over to put the phone back in its cradle. 'The meeting is in a week. That would be enough to clean this place up, right?' She thought to herself as she delved back into her stacks of paperwork, skimming over the text.
She sighed and laid her head in her hands, dropping her pen onto the desk. Victoria stayed in that position for a while, nodding off before her head hit the desk, snapping her back into alertness. She groaned, standing up to go make another cup of coffee. 'This won't end well,' The Seychellois girl thought to herself as she stretched and sleepily dragged herself to the kitchen, fighting to keep her eyes open.
