I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'd never let you go. When all those shadows almost killed your light. I remember you said don't leave me here alone, but all that's dead and gone and passed tonight.

The Mob was surrounding the mayoral mansion. As the shadows danced around her room Regina shrank down on the floor sobbing. Emma was holding her as the sobs racked her body. "Please don't let go of me….. I just…. I need…. I need someone to hold me. Don't leave me here alone. Please." Emma held on even tighter and she tried to comfort Regina. "I'm not going anywhere Regina. I'll never let you go."

Just close your eyes, The sun is going down. You'll be alright, No one can hurt you now. Come morning light, You and I'll be safe and sound.

Emma walked Regina over to her bed and layed down next to her. "Don't worry Regina. I'm going to be here with you all night. No one is going to be able to hurt you. Just go to sleep and in the morning I'll still be here."

Don't you dare look out your window darling everything's on fire. The war outside our door keeps raging on. Hold on to this lullaby, even when the music's gone.

Emma awoke feeling the empty space beside her. She saw Regina looking out the window to the waiting mob below. "Regina get away from there." Regina turned and walked over to Emma, "They won't give up. They want me to pay for what I've done. We can't stay here forever Emma." The you can't protect me forever was implied.
"Come back to bed please." As Regina curled into Emma's side, the blonde gave the brunette a swift kiss to reasure her. Emma started to hum as Regina drifted off into a light slumber.

Just close your eyes, The sun is going down. You'll be alright, No one can hurt you now. Come morning light, You and I'll be safe and sound.

All through the night Regina would awake suddenly clinging to Emma, and once again Emma would hum her back to sleep. The mob outside still waited, but Emma felt that if they could just make it till morning things would be okay. She would talk the citizens of Storybrook and they would agree not to actually hurt Regina.

Just close your eyes, The sun is going down. You'll be alright, No one can hurt you now. Come morning light, You and I'll be safe and sound.

Sadly Regina new that her fate was already set, but for just tonight she would let herself believe in the fairytale world Emma was talking about. She allowed herself for those few hours to belive that once morning came she really would be safe and sound in Emma's arms.
