See what happens when I let random songs inspire me?? Oh well, I kinda like it.
Bluest of Blue
Sunlight burned his eyes as Sasuke stepped out into the morning. Brightness stained green from the leaves filtered down through the tall limbs of the trees. Somewhere to his left a blue jay twittered happily. All-in-all it was a beautiful day, the brunette hid his grimace with a sneer. All this so-called 'beauty' had no place in a country so far from that of his birth.
He didn't like to admit it but fall in Konoha had truly been a sight to see. Leaves in every shade of the season made one understand why they might have named it Fire Country.
None of that really mattered to him, just an observation made from a lifetime of observing in a place where he was constantly observed. Kind of like here in Oto, only better in a few ways. At least in Konoha Sasuke didn't have to be continually on guard. He did it anyway, but he didn't have to.
Dark eyes stared out at the world from under equally black bangs before Sasuke redirected his gaze to the sky above. Blue stared down at him in return and the brunette's sneer returned. Blue was definitely his least favorite color…
He was supposed to be training, practicing the newest thing Orochimaru had decided he wanted his body to know before it was up to him to teach it. Sasuke didn't care. He was feeling particularly spiteful today, what with the sun shining, the birds singing, and that hateful blue sky mocking him. He glared at it again.
Pale fingers deftly stroked the kunai holster strapped to his thigh, the young man silently wishing for a target to throw them at. Eyes drifting once again to the green backdrop of his surroundings, Sasuke wished for someone to strike with the cold, hard steel in his hand.
At this moment in time, almost anyone would do; anyone who would scream and cry, beg and bleed under his hand.
The blue of the sky seemed to brighten; the sun emboldened enough to glow far above his lowered head. For just this one moment Sasuke wished for blond hair as bright as the sun and blue eyes that glowed far more than this sky could ever dream. For this moment he allowed himself to wish for more than he had now, more than he knew he wanted.
For this moment, Sasuke allowed himself to wish.
And tomorrow, he would train.
How'd I do on characterization, do you think?? Or just drop me a line and say you read it... You know, whatever. lol
