Chapter One:
The Explosion

Me and Gale run for our lives. It's total chaos. We run we try to dodge massive fires, bullets flying in the air, and this huge truck that just flipped over starting an even bigger fire. Me and Gale get split. At first I can't find him. But I look around and spot him. He's getting taken away.
I grab my arrow wondering if I should shoot Gale. " Shoot me!" he shouts. I lower my arrow and watch them take Gale away. They shove Gale into a truck and take off. Gale is gone but I decide to keep going.
I struggle to push through a crowd of people. I can't see so I climb on top of a truck. I see UFO's. I watch as they drop little packages from the sky.
"BOOM!" All of a sudden they turn into bombs. Everyone collapses. As I get back I see lots of people are dead. A lot of people are also running. I can tell they're terrified. I'm terrified too. I walk slowly. My mouth hangs open. I can't believe this. I'm in total shock as I see was going on around me.
I see my sister Prim. She looks scared. I call out her name. She stares at me. She's terrified just like the other people. " PRIM!" I yell much louder this time. She just stares at me. I want to try to help her. I sense her pain.
I know she's scared but I want her to be strong. But the truth is I'm terrified too. I walk closer. "BOOM!" A bomb goes off and I fly backwards. My coat catches fire. I lied there for a moment. Flames are surrounding me. Prim dies and I feel like a part of me is gone.
I burn with anger inside. I know Gale did this. I will never think of him in the same way. They took my sister! I would never forgive Gale! Tears run down my face. I'm in shock. I can't believe what just happened. Gale doesn't have a heart. If I could have died I would've. I would've done anything to save Prim. But now that chance is gone. I can never bring her back.
