Why did you leave me

That day long ago

When you had told me

When you had promised me

That you would never go

I still loved you

With all my heart

But you said you didn't

That you couldn't

Or wouldn't

I guess I'll never know

So now I'm sitting down

At my old wooden desk

Writing you this letter

The letter never sent

The letter you will never get
