It was a pretty much ordinary day at Dalton, all classes had finished, and pretty much everyone had found their way back to their dorms, that included Nick and Jeff that had decided to curl up on Nicks bed as soon as they had returned to dorm 36.
While Jeff had managed to fall asleep for half an hour, Nick's mind had been wandering to all the things he liked about the boy in his arms, how his nose scrunched upwards when he laughed, how his hands was always soft, how his dance moves always seemed to amaze him or how his lips felt like they were made to fit his own, Jeff was more than he could ask for.
Nick really loved spending the days with Jeff like this. It was literally his favorite activity with the boy he called his boyfriend. They'd been together for a while now, and Nick was always amazed about how much he cared for the blonde. How much he loved him.
That was when his mind stopped and he suddenly got nervous, he actually loved Jeff, the boy who'd come to him the first day in kindergarten handing him a plastic dinosaur because he'd seen Nick standing alone near the door where his mom had left him 10 minutes ago looking down at his new Spiderman shoes that lighted up when he walked.
They had spent all day playing together and when their parents came to pick them up they'd been fast asleep on the car ride home.
"Jeff" Nick said his voice shaking from the realization and need to tell the blonde.
"Mmh" was all Jeff managed to get out as he rolled around to look at Nick, with a tired smile playing over his lips.
Nicks eyes was wide open as he looked at his friends searching for words. "Jeff I know this I coming out of nowhere but, I have something I need to tell you. I might be going a bit too fast, so just tell me if you want me to shut up." The blonde started giggling as soon as he realized his boyfriend had begun rambling and to stop it he needed to work fast otherwise he'd have to listen to him for at least half an hour more, not that he didn't enjoy Nick's velvet smooth voice; he was just still tired from the nap they'd taken.
"Nick! Stop right there!" he said putting a finger over the brunettes lips. "Will you just relax for a bit honey, you need to breathe." Jeff whispered smiling over at his beautiful boyfriend. "There is no need to be scared of telling me anything, when I said yes to become your boyfriend, I also said yes to always listening to you and what you have to say."
The brunette was starring right into Jeff's eyes as he spoke; Nick's expression finally starting to soften as the last words was over the blondes lips.
"I guess what I'm trying to say is, that-" Nick all stammered out looking down at his and his loves hands that had been intertwined while Jeff had spoken to him, but this was now and or never. "I love you" he said as he looked up in those brown honey eyes he'd always loved since the first day in kindergarten, ginning at the memory of the two of them playing knights on the quest of killing the humongous fire dragon of doom as they'd called the big pile of dirt at the end of the playground.
"I love you too Nicky, for longer than you can imagine." And with that Jeff leaned in to close the gap between them and kiss the love of his life.
