Quinn awoke early that Sunday morning, even on vacation she couldn't seem to actually take a break. Old habits truly do die hard she mused. She carefully sat up in bed so she could look around and gauge what time it was. By the way the light barely shone through the window and the peaceful silence all around she gathered that it was early enough for the world to still be at rest. It didn't matter really, she was already awake. She heaved a sigh and looked down at the other occupant of the bed she was currently lying in. Quinn considered herself to be quite a lucky woman not only had she over come many obstacles in her youth she also had the love of the most beautiful woman. Honestly, for as much as life seemed to have it out for her fate sure was kind, she didn't even want to think of the where she would be without Rachel. As she shook her head to rid herself of such notions Rachel stirred.

"Good morning beautiful."

"mmh morning."

"I didn't wake you did I? I know how much a good night's sleep means to you"

Rachel rolled over unto her side to face Quinn. She wasn't entirely awake yet as her eyes were still closed. Although she was awake enough to answer.

"No you didn't. What were you doing awake this early just sitting there?"

"I was thinking about you."

"Seriously?"

"Yes, I was thinking about how lucky I am to have you"

"Is that all."

"Well I was also thinking of how beautiful you are and where I'd be without you."

"And where would that be?"

"No place I would like to be."

"Tell me what you were thinking, put it in words."

"I was thinking of all the small things I love about you. My love for you is in the smell of your hair as it brushes against my nose, the shape of your lips when I trace them with my finger. It's the way my breath catches when I see your silhouette in the morning light. How your face is calm and devoid of worry when you sleep, much like mist rising from a lake. The way you hum some unknown tune when you clean or the way you seem to think you can cook. There really isn't anything I don't love about you Rachel even when we argue until I am blue in the face and want to pull my hair out I still love you. I love you even more today than I did yesterday."

"Is it because I didn't burn dinner?"

"Something like that, or it could be because you agreed to marry me."

"I guess that would be a good reason to love someone."

"Yes, yes it would."

"Quinn."

"Yes, Rachel"

"I love you too."
