Dry Bowser was racing around the dusty Bone Dry Dunes on his Bone Rattler ATV when he stopped, noticing something odd in the quicksand.
"What... I don't recall that being in there." Dry Bowser stated as he noticed that a green plant thing was inside the quicksand.
Dry Bowser decided to opt out the race as he approached the quick sand, poking at the green plant object as it turned out to be a giant green Pokey cactus. The skeletal reptile was caught off guard, as there weren't any Pokeys present in the canyon themed race course, with it moving about as several more green colored, smaller Pokeys began popping out of the sand, making Dry Bowser question the very nature that was occurring.
"This is not normal..." Dry Bowser stated as he brushed back his red hair, shaking his head as he went back onto the road to see the other racers zipping by, all of whom may have lapped him. "I'm going to have to tell the others. Hey! There's a giant Pokey here!"
"Who cares? It's just a cactus," Ludwig Von Koopa stated in his Biddybuddy ride as he shook his head, focusing on winning the race.
Dry Bowser tried to get the attention of the others, but the giant Pokey slammed down on him, reducing him to a pile of bones. Some of the racers in last decided to stop, deciding that they should look into this predicament since they weren't likely to win the race anyway.
