(AN) Hey this is my first story so don't expect too much. I had this in my head for a while and I wanted to get it out. I will try to update regularly. Well anyway, on with the story.

I didn't know it, aside from my name and goal. That was it, nothing about my family, birth, friends or what I did in the past. For all I know I could have been an evil mastermind. I thought I had just lost my memory when I was eight, because I only remember everything since then. But I was proved wrong when he told me. He told me that I didn't lose it, but it was wiped.

"But by who?!" I asked him desperately.

"By me," he replied. "By I Robert J. Tower, supreme commander of G.U.N., great-great-great grandson of Abraham Tower, and your guardian/mentor."

I couldn't believe what he was saying. He and his wife Stacey had looked after me since I was eight. He was also my mentor as an agent since then. The bit of my past that I remembered was my name which is Silver the Hedgehog and my goal which was to protect mankind from whatever threat that might arise. So I fulfilled my goal as an agent of G.U.N., at the request/suggestion of Robert Tower himself. He said he saw the same potential in me that his great-great-great grandfather saw in my old mentor (whom he never spoke of much to my dismay). All he said about him was that he was a great fighter and saved the world countless times.

"But why'd you do it?" I asked him. I was determined to know why a man like him would do such a thing to me.

"I did it at the request of the President," he replied sadly to me. "I tried to tell him no, that you would forget all the things your old mentor taught you, all the fighting skills that you possessed." I saw him starting to tear up. He NEVER cries and I mean NEVER.

"I knew it was wrong but I had to do it. It was erase your memory or have you killed. I saw you potential and I didn't want to lose it. So I erased it."

"C,Commander," I asked him. "I,I understand. You did it to…" I was cut off by the Commander before I could finish.

"Stop Silver," he said. "Today you get back a part of you. A part of you that was missing for 7 years, your memory of you childhood."

The Commander pulled open a draw in his desk and took out a pen-like device. I had a good idea on what it was.

"Today Silver I will right a wrong I made 7 years ago."

And with that he smashed the pen-thing with his foot. And then I remembered. I remembered everything. My family, my mentor, my goal and the strange sword that I really have no clue whatsoever about.

"Ugh," I mumbled. I could barely stand. I clutched my head as I fell back into a chair. It was just all flowing back to me. I also felt, somewhat, stronger. I felt like I could knock down a tree with one single punch. And I weren't even one to try and punch something. But that was, before now, before, I remembered.

(AN) Well that's the first chapter/prologue done. The next chapter is when the real story starts. So for now R&R.
