Ok so I've never done this before but I thought I'd give it a go because I've got nothing to do in the airport so it will probably be very bad. Basically I'm going back to just after Zoe's and max went public (s29e23).
Zoe couldn't believe what she'd just done. She had kissed max in the middle of the ED for everyone to see. Of course, the thought of revealing their relationship to their colleagues terrified her, but once she had heard Max's speech, she realised just how much he really loved her, and how much she cared about him and that he was more important to her than anyone else in he world.
Max and Zoe just stared at each other for a moment, the adrenaline pumping through their bodies and their hearts beating fast.
'Thank you' said Max, 'and as much as I would love to take you home right now, I think we need to go and do some explaining to the others'
He wrapped his arm around her waist and smiled down at her.
'Ok, I just need to get my keys, I left them in my locker.'
'I'm going outside for a cigarette then. I'm not going to be bombarded with everyone's questions on my own.' He chuckled
Zoe hurried to her locker and just as she was leaving, Connie entered the staff room.
'I saw your little... Revelation in reception earlier' Connie said.
'Oh great! Is is just what I need - Connie expressing her disapproval' thought Zoe. 'Yes, and before you say anything, Max and I are very happy together.'
'I was simply going to say that I'm happy for you both Zoe. You clearly want to be together, so who am I to get in the way of your personal life.' Connie said to a stunned Zoe.
'Thanks Connie' was all Zoe could think to respond as she hurried past her to see the man that she had well and truly fallen for.
As she neared the entrance to the pub, Zoe saw Max stood outside grinning at her 'Ready?' He said.
'No' Zoe replied as she grabbed his hand as he pushed the door the pub open. It was too late to turn back now.
