I do not own Mai-hime/My-otome.

A/N: I'm sorry for dropping off the face of the Earth but a lot of things have been happening and making my life difficult.
So here's this, based off something that happened to me that's one of the few things that's helping me get through things.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

Natsuki let out a tired sigh as she laid down on her twin sized bed. It had not been her week, first she was failing behind in her online classes she had to take from failing them during the school year, Saeko was too busy for them to spend any time together, and her and her father hadn't been getting along from a small fight she got in with her step mom. Rubbing her eyes tiredly, the jade eyed teen grabbed a random book off her head board and slipped her ear buds in to block out the rest of the world. Just as she was about to press play on the ipod in her hand, her cell phone went off making her groan. She really didn't want to talk with any one at the moment, but knowing her friends if she didn't pick up they'd come knocking at her door. Not bothering to look at the caller I.D. she pressed the little green button and mumbled a pitiful greeting.

"Ara, did I wake my Na-tsu-ki up?" She jumped up, not minding the book falling on the floor and losing her page.
"Shizuru! It's been a while? How are you? How is Kyoto? Has any one been bothering you? Someone has been rude to you haven't they? I'll kick their ass!" Natsuki could her the Kyoto-Ben laugh softly, making her ice heart flutter.
"Ara, so protective. No, I've been quite alright. Ara everyone has been treating me right." Shizuru smiled to herself as she spoke.
Natsuki let out an relieved sigh and laid back on her bed.
"So how is college? And that one guy you told me about?" The teen would never admit it, but it broke her every time they talked about the Reito guy. But she would pretend to be happy for Shizuru. Surprised slightly, Shizuru's masked slipped for a brief moment but was quickly put back in place. Why would her Natsuki ask about Reito?

"College has been interesting to say the least, I was head of my class just like in high school. And Reito has been fine, he left last week to visit with his family." Natsuki bit her lower lip, a habit she did when she wasn't sure what to say. Shizuru was use to Natsuki suddenly going quite, it was something she did commonly when they talked on the phone.
"So, are you home then? With your parents in Kyoto?" A huge grin covered Shizuru's lips as she walked up to a two story house with her bags in hand.
"Ara, I'm going to visit with friends first." Natsuki looked down at her ipod screen checking the time and frowned when she saw it was almost time for supper but her mom wasn't home yet. Looked like it would be another ham and mayo sandwich.
"Cool. Will you be in Fuuka at all?" Shizuru sat down the bag in her hand than raised her hand to knock.
"Maybe." Natsuki growled when she heard someone knocking at the door.
"I'll call you right back Shizuru, someone is at the door."
"Ara take your time Na-tsu-ki." Grumbling to herself as she jammed her phone into her pocket, the teen lazily jogged down stairs cussing at who ever was on the other side of the door. It didn't help any when the uninvited guest knocked again.
"I'm coming! Gezz..." Yanking the door open, Natsuki gave the famous Kuga-death-glare.
"Who is it?" The voice made her glare drop within seconds.
"Ara, hello again, my Na-tsu-ki."
