A/N: Set after the episode where Jordan and the reporter go to the cabin. Pretend they didn't. They didn't make up, and Jordan still doesn't want to go. Humph. This one's really short; sorry.

Don't Go

He ran up the sidewalk in a state of partial panic, not knowing whether seeing the light on in her house was good or bad.

I force myself to wait

I know it's getting late

I'm certain that you'll come

He knocked, somewhat frantically, and restrained himself from throwing his arms around her when she opened the door in her animated pyjamas. Instead, he exhaled with an incredible amount of relief, and watched as she gave him an odd look.

"Garrett?"

It was then that he realized he had no idea what the time was, and it might be a lot later than he thought. He cursed silently in his head, but when he opened his mouth to apologize, the only thing that came out was a quiet "you're here."

"Um… yeah." She raised an eyebrow at him, wondering what the hell he was doing at her house at one in the morning.

I watch the sun go down

I see the stars come out

I hear the doorbell ring

He glanced behind her and noticed the clock on the wall, and the hands in their position showing it was one a.m. "Uh, sorry. I didn't realize…" An embarrassed grimace twisted his lips, and he turned away, mentally berating himself.

"Hey, uh, Garrett."

He looked over his shoulder at her hesitant call.

"You uh, you don't have to go." She caught her lower lip between her teeth and offered him a smile. "Um, you can come in… if you want."

He turned. "If that's okay…"

"It's okay," she replied quickly, and opened the door wider so he could step inside.
