"Dammit!" The engine grunted. I knew that this would take weeks to fix. The argo ll had no time! This was Gaia messing with them. He buried his face in his hands when Nico came in. "Hey." He greeted me. "How long do you think?" "Could be weeks Nico. We'll never make it in time! The whole world we be in chaos in a matter of days!" I panicked. "Calm down Leo," The son of death exclaimed, crossing his arms across his chest nonchalantly. "We'll be able to Manchester in time. Ok? Gaia is not going to wake so soon." Nico reassured. "No Nico… You don't understand! She's waking Nico! We won't be able to stop her in time!" I felt bad and embarrassed bashing out on Nico, but he just couldn't bare it. I bury my head deeper into my knees and let my hope fly away. "Leo everything is gonna be fine. Is there anything I can help with? You are probably frustrated from working, maybe if I helped?" "No Nico, this is more complex than you think… no one on board can help me." I said. "Than teach me! Come on Leo, I know you want someone to work with you on this. These past weeks have been hard on the argo ll and you haven't slept in days. Let me help you." He said. Nico was not one to display any emotion, but I knew he was not going to back down. I sighed. "I'll teach you, but first go get me some muffins." I could tell that Nico was about to scream Hey im not your slave! But he left to get me my muffin without a word. Sadly, I knew there would be no time left for us, but I had to try. This was the first time I've seen Nico willing to do anything for me around here and I better not push his buttons.

I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and went down to the engine room. Nico was in there starring at me. "About time you woke up. You needed your sleep. We will be up all night, no doubt." Nico said as he smirked and walked across the room. "We? Do you even know how to use a screwdriver?" I questioned. "Yes Valdez!" Nico hissed. "I looked over some of your notes last night… I know what to do." "Oh my gods Nico just don't look over my notes again. Ugh!" "Your notes… do you mean your diary?" Nico smirked. "Hey it's a journal!" I laughed, a real laugh. Even Nico smiled, though my cheeks were red with embarrassment. I was fairly surprised that Nico, of all people, could make me laugh when I was stressed and upset. "Well we have work to do, and I'm not going to wait here all day and fetch you muffins." Nico said. I smiled. Perhaps working with the son of death wasn't going to be that bad after all…
