Logan's POV
I open the door to Xavier's School for Gifted Young Children, and find no one in the entry hall. "One eye? Wheels? Rouge?" I call softly, for it is midnight, and Wheels would probably chew me out if I awoke the whole school.
"Logan. is it really you?" I turn toward the voice and see my Rouge, the one I had most missed during my search for my past.
I open my arms and she runs into them. I stroke her hair, remembering when she got the two streaks of gray color into her hair. "Yes it's me, why would you have to ask? I told you I would be back."
" I know. It just seems that . well, I don't know. that you wouldn't come back. it's been 2 years. and I missed you more than anything. I."
I put my fingers under her chin and tilt her head up to me, so I can see her face clearly. My hearts skips a beat. Had I really hurt her that badly, that she is crying?! I pull her even closer to me. if that was possible. "It's ok. I am here now. You want to come with me? I have to go to Wheels's office. He will want to talk to me."
She nods, and I take her hand. It takes here flights of stairs to reach his office and I knock loudly on the door. "Come in, Logan. You can bring Rouge in too."
I look at Rouge in surprise, and shrug my shoulders. I suppose I will just have to get used to wheels power.
We walk in and I nod to Cyclops, who is also in there. "I am sorry for coming in so late sir. I. well, I was wandering around the town for a half an hour before I came over. I was wondering if you would help me with something. I need some place to stay for a while. Do you think I could stay here? I would be entirely willing to work. Well, what do you say?
"Well, I was yes. How about you Scott?"
"That's fine with me. we need a new teacher."
"Rouge?"
"You really have to ask? Gee Whiz. Yes. Of course he can stay!"
"Well, then. It's settled. For tonight you can stay in Rouge's room. But tomorrow, you are getting your own room. I am fully trusting you."
