"Good morning campers! Ready to see which one of your team members will be kicked off today? Then come down to the cafeteria, for today's latest challenge," Chris shouted through the speakers. The contestants slowly woke up angry and drowsy from their interrupted rest. They began to change and get ready for Chris's latest challenge that awaited them in the cafeteria. The campers were sluggish as they walked except for Cody and Owen. Some had noticed Cody's extra perkiness today, his cocky grin had now grown to a smile, but most did not care or pay attention.

As the campers entered the cafeteria Chris was smirking as he watched the campers enter with their exhausted expressions.

"Good morning campers," Chris said.

"You already said that. Get on and tell us how you will torment us today already," Gwen told him.

"Fine…Have it your way," Chris replied having some of his moment ruined. Chris continued showing a pleasurable grin as he started telling the campers their latest challenge.

"You see, poor old Chef is having a bad day, so I leave it up to you to cheer him up. The first team that cheers Chef up, by making him either laugh, smile, or even have a slight smirk, wins…and winners get a desert buffet," Chris tells the campers. The contestant's jaws were dropped as they gave Chris a queer look (who just ignored their reaction). Owen was the only cheerful one as he didn't understand the danger of performing this task.

"What are you waiting for, let's get to it people. I have a show to run," Chris pointed at the direction the campers needed to head towards to find Chef. Each of them sulked, with the exception of Owen, as they walked towards the direction that Chris pointed to.

Chef is in the kitchen cooking his grotesque meals for the challengers. When some of the campers entered into his kitchen a knife was thrown right next to them, sticking onto the door frame. They all quickly moved back out of the kitchen and began to discuss in their groups what they should do.

"Ok we need to figure out something funny….any ideas," Courtney asked and her teammates only gave her blank stares in response.

"Well, we need to go in there and try something. So any volunteers," Courtney asked hoping that someone would volunteer but to her discontent, her team either looked fearful or backed away from her.

"Come on! We can't waist time, we need to do something before the other team finds a way to win first," Courtney worriedly told them.

"Oh brother, I'll go princess, just make sure I get a nice reward when I come back." Duncan smirked.

"That's if he comes back," Harold muttered receiving a few grins from some of his teammates.

"Anyone have a game plan," Trent asked the same time the Killer bass were conversing with each other.

"Nope…nothing…,"Gwen replied and most of the campers agreed.

"Oh come on, he's just one guy, anyone can be cheered up," Owen said delighted about this contest.

"I nominate Owen here to be the first one to take a crack at this," Gwen said.

"I second the motion," Heather agreed and was followed by Lindsay and Beth agreeing as well.

"Then it's settled, Owen you can go cheer up Chef," Heather told their large teammate who looked forward to do this challenge. Before Owen could head through the door, to attempt making Chef a happy camper like his self, Duncan was already in front of him, headed towards the door.

"Remember Duncan! It's all about strategy," Courtney shouted.

"Yeah, yeah princess, I got you," Duncan shouted back while stepping through the door followed by Owen.

"Yeah…they're doomed," Gwen spoke as she waited to hear the beatings that she predicted would soon occur.

Duncan walked up to Chef and before he could tap the man on the shoulder Chef spoke to him while he cooked.

"This better be good, or else we'll have some punk stew for lunch," Chef threatened.

"I'd like to see you try that old man," Duncan retorted with a smirk. Chef turned around with his face steamed from anger as he glared at the delinquent.

"I don't think you understand. I don't like to be disturbed from my cooking. Now unless you leave my sight this instant, you'll be regretting ever stepping foot into this kitchen," Chef roughly told him.

"Bring it," Duncan kept his attitude while provoking Chef. The next thing the Killer Bass knew, Duncan was being thrown into the air out of the kitchen and onto the floor with some minor bruises.

"Duncan! Are you ok," Courtney asked with some worry in her voice.

"It just hurts a little princess, but I'll be fine," Duncan told her with a grin, while DJ and Geoff showed their support with thumbs up for Duncan to make his move.

"I think a kiss would make me feel better though," Duncan told her.

"Did you win," Courtney asked curiously.

"Well….no…," Duncan uneasily replied and Courtney moved her face closer to his. Duncan grinned as he was getting prepared for a kiss, but when she reached close to his face, she then moved to his side and yelled into his ear.

"You stupid ogre, why on earth would I ever kiss you," Courtney shouted as loud as she could into his left ear making him cringe. She then stood up and kicked him in the shin and walked towards Geoff.

"Get in there and win this for us," She shouted.

"Are you crazy, he'll kill me," Geoff said as he backed away from Courtney.

"Hey…are you aright," DJ, with concern, asked the other teen.

"Yeah, it looks like you got hurt bad dude," Geoff added as he continued to back away from Courtney.

"Nothing I can't handle gentlemen," Duncan replied as he slowly got up. "Let's just hope Owen over there fails this contest. I wouldn't mind having another whack at it," Duncan punched his palm as he looked at the door to see how long it would take for Owen to be thrown out.

Owen stared at Chef who was currently more agitated then before.

"Uhm…hi…," Owen nervously started and Chef stared him down as he took deep breaths to calm himself.

"What do you want tubby," Chef asked him as the threateningly stood in front of the boy.

"I uh….just wanted to come in here to cheer you up," Owen told him but the look on Chef's face showed that he didn't want to be 'cheered up'.

"But…I think I'll just get going now…," Owen told the man who stood before him clenching a kitchen knife with a fierce grip.

"Yeah, that would be a good idea," Chef told the boy. Owen turned around to leave the kitchen but then he slipped on some of Chef's slop that was crawling on the floor. This made the hefty teen roll backwards onto Chef's stove. Chef watched as the boy took a moment to realize that the fire from the stove was burning his pants. Owen ran around the kitchen shouting for his life until he slipped once again and fell face first on the ground with his butt in the air. Chef grinned as he enjoyed watching the scene and waited a moment before deciding to spray the boys butt with a fire extinguisher.

"You know tubby, you did make my day, now get out of my kitchen before I serve steak à la Owen," Chef commanded the as he used the fire extinguisher to stop the fire.

"Ah…thanks…Hey that sounds good, can I have some of that,"

"No," Chef shouted and threw his knife just close enough to Owen for the hefty boy to get the point and leave the kitchen. Owen ran out and Chris came into the kitchen a moment later.

"Dude, that was hilarious, I can't believe he doesn't realize his butt is showing," He told the cook.

"Yeah…those kids aren't bad sometimes," Chef grumbled as he was finished cooking his slop. He smiled as he looked at the barely editable meal and had a pleasurable grin at the idea of the campers eating it.

"Ah, my favorite activity through out the day," Chef said not even considering tasting the food.

"Dude, you're so twisted for serving that," Chris told him while smiling at the food.

"Hey, I'm not paid to cook good food. It says so on the contract," Chef told him as he moved the food to the cafeteria so he could serve it to the campers.

Chris had followed Chef out of the kitchen to find the Gophers and the Killer Bass, were waiting to hear his decision.

"Killer Bass…you have done the exact opposite of the challenge and because of that. I will be seeing you tonight, as one of you will be sent towards the dock of shame, and to the boat of losers. Screaming Gophers…you pulled off something hysterical and you did it well" Chris said as he tried to hold his laughter. "You were able to make Chef grin for a moment. Congrats you won the contest, so I won't be seeing you tonight and you also won a desert table. That is after you finish your meal of course," Chris finished, his smile never leaving his face. Some of the campers showed no true emotions while others looked hungrily at the thought of desert.

Chris went to a long bench and threw off the white cover that covered the deserts. Owen's eyes widened as he happily smiled and looking carefully a tear drop could be seen running from his eye.

"It's just so beautiful," Owen spoke as he set himself up to run and devour it all. The other Screaming Gophers followed the running Owen as they walked towards the table to treat themselves to some snacks.

Cody looked at the sweets, not feeling to hungry himself, but he thought he spotted something he wanted. He then saw what he wanted and began walking towards it but then saw Owen eyeing it as well.

"Uhm, hey Owen, mind if I can ask you a favor buddy," Cody asked.

"Yeah, what is it dude," The large teen asked as he kept his eyes on the deserts.

"Mind if I take that cake, that's all I really want," Cody asked. Owen was eyeing the cake and he really wanted it.

"Please, I'll do your dish duty for a week," Cody begged and Owen thought more.

"Also you can have any muffins I get too during that week." Cody added, hoping the big lug would agree.

"Done deal," Owen shouted as he let Cody take the cake and went back to devouring the rest of the table.

Cody happily took the cake and walked back to the cabin as he held the cake carefully.

"Hey, what do you think Cody doing with that cake," Gwen asked curiously to no one in particular.

"I don't know girl, I guess he just wants to pig out on it alone," Leshawna replied.

"Who cares," Heather said as she filed her nails.

Later in the day, Gwen found a blue card on her bed that had Cody's name on the front.

"Cody," Gwen read "…this guy doesn't get it." Gwen finished then decided to toss the card out.

Courtney, Sadie, and Bridgette in a later time found similar cards on their beds sheets.

"Hey what's this," Bridgette asked while holding up a blue card she had lifted from her bed.

"Yeah I got one too. It's from Cody…," Courtney said while picking up an identical card from her bed.

"Oh my gosh! Me too," Sadie added.

"I wonder what he wants." Bridgette said turning around and looking at the other two girls who held similar cards.

"I don't know, but he's a gopher so I don't care." Courtney replied and thought for a moment, "He's probably just sick and tired of getting rejected by Gwen,"

"…I guess you're right…." Bridgette finished as the three went to throw their cards away.

Beth, Heather, Lindsay, and Leshawna found cards soon after Gwen left to throw hers away.

"What's this? That little geek seems a bit desperate," Heather said as she grabbed the other cards away.

"Hey!" Leshawna said as Heather snatched the card.

"You know you weren't going to go out with him, so why bother reading it," Heather said but then smirked.

"Unless you have a thing for geek boy,"

"Girl you're asking for a bunch of hurt if you try that again," Leshawna said not pleased with Heather's remarks.

Many of the girls had their cards thrown in the outside garbage containers that were nearly full. After Gwen threw her card, she later saw some of the other girls come out throwing similar cards, she felt a bit confused. What confused her more was later on she saw Cody standing by the garbage (containing the cards) with a frown. His normal positive attitude had faltered as he sadly looked at the trash can.

"Why would they throw these away…," Cody asked himself as he felt hurt seeing the cards he worked hard on being tossed in the garbage. He soon spotted Duncan who came up to him, holding a few more cards that he had made.

"Dude, I think you gave these to the wrong side of the cabin…you see the girl's side is over there," Duncan pointed, treating Cody like an idiot and threw the cards in the garbage container with the others.

"What," Cody seemed confused but Duncan had left already. Cody then sighed as his head sulked down and he stretched his hand to pick up one of the cards that Duncan had thrown away. He opened it began to walk off while reading it to himself, trying to find out what was wrong with them.

Gwen shrugged all she saw off and walked away to find another place to be alone and do some drawing.

"Hey what's this," Trent said as he saw a card from Cody. He was confused at first and before he could open it, Geoff ran into the cabin.

"Dude, you have to see what Owen is about to do," Geoff yelled. Trent threw the note away with out thinking and ran out to see what Geoff was excited about. Geoff saw the card that Trent threw and another one on Owen's bed. He walked towards then and took them.

"Dude…this guy really doesn't know where the girl's side of the cabin is. I might as well throw these ones too," Geoff said to himself as he took the cards and threw them with the others.

Later that day, Cody had been sitting by the camp site with the cake he took earlier.

"Maybe the others will come…," He told himself with a grin. After a couple hours of seeing no one, Cody sighed and took his cake and went to the Gophers cabin.

"Hey Owen," Cody shouted with a small frown on his face. Owen came out of the cabin.

"Hey Codster, what you need," Cody took a slice of cake and put it on a plate he was caring.

"Here, you can have the rest," He told him. Owen would have normally asked why he seemed down, but his mind was focused too much on the cake that was given to him that he didn't think to think ask about it. Cody sighed and slowly walked back to the campsite with his slice of cake.

Gwen was heading back to her Cabin while Leshawna was heading out.

"Hiya girl, where you headin," Leshawna asked.

"It's going to be dark soon, so I think I'll just call it an early night, what about you," Gwen asked.

"I'm heading to take a shower," Leshawna replied. Gwen and Leshawna then saw Cody passing them by from a distance.

"Boy that kid looks down…I wonder what's up with him," Leshawna said looking a bit concerned as she saw Cody who looked a bit sad while walking with his head held down.

"Yeah he does seem a little more quiet and down then usual." Gwen said showing a little hint of concern.

"A little," Leshawna asked.

"Ok fine, I don't think I ever seen him this down," Gwen said as they watched him disappear towards the camp site.

"Maybe we should go talk to him," Leshawna said.

"No, I'll go. You can go have your shower," Gwen told her.

"Thanks, I'll catch up with you later then," Leshawna said, the other girl nodded in reply and then headed off to follow Cody.

After lighting the camp fire, Cody sat down on one of the logs placed there. He looked at his cake and then at the stars. He sighed and looked at his slice of cake once again, contemplating if he should eat it now or not.

"Uhm….hey…," Gwen said a bit nervously, since she didn't know what to say to him. Cody jumped out of his seat and looked at her with a surprised expression. The cake was still on his plate and luckily he didn't drop it.

"Gwen," He asked confused to see her presence.

"Yeah…" She replied.

"I didn't think you would come…maybe everyone else changed their minds too," Cody said looking hopeful.

"Come for what," She asked while confused from what he meant.

"Hahaha, good one Gwen, are you guys trying to do a surprise party for the Codster," He asked as his old self was returning.

"I honestly have no idea what you're talking about," Gwen replied. Cody's lit up face seemed to die out as he became sad once again.

"Didn't you read the card," Cody asked a bit confused and hurt.

"I uh…thought you were asking me out again…so I threw it away…," Gwen told him while giving a little bit of blush from embarrassment.

"Oh…Haha…yeah…..it's ok…," Cody said with a nervous laugh and sighed.

"So what was on the card," Gwen asked him.

"It was a birthday invitation," Cody told her. Gwen's eyes widened for a moment and then she looked at him with sympathy.

"I'm so sorry," Gwen told him seeming a bit disappointed in her self for what she did.

"Haha, like I said, don't worry about it…but I still don't understand why the others didn't come," Cody told her.

"Did you only try to send it to the girls," Gwen asked.

"No, I sent a card to everyone, including Chef and Chris," Cody told her.

"Those jerks have no reason…well I think Heather threw your cards that you gave to her and the other girls…but I don't know why everyone else…," Gwen told him.

"No worries, it's getting late anyways, if you want you can head back to your cabin, you don't have to hang out with me for the night," Cody said as he was going back to his seat but stopped.

"You want the slice of this cake before you go," He offered.

"But it's your birthday cake…," Gwen told him.

"And I want you to have it… I don't think I'm in the mood for cake right now," Cody told her while handing the slice of cake to her. Gwen gave a small smile as he gave her the slice of cake.

"I think I'll celebrate your birthday with you," She told him and Cody was once again smiling as they both sat on a log and talking for a little. Gwen and him shared his cake and looked at the starry night.

"Hey there's a shooting star," Cody enthusiastically said.

"Did you make a wish," Gwen asked and Cody gave a small smile.

"Yeah I did," He responded to her as he looked at her for a moment longer trying to intake what he saw was more beautiful then a shooting star.

"Don't tell anyone, or else it won't come true," Gwen told him. Cody looked at the stars and then once again back at her, a grin never leaving his face.

"I wished that maybe one day I could take you on the best date in the world," Cody told her.

"Haha, I think any luck of that just went away," Gwen laughed a bit then saw that he was serious.

"Why you blow your wish like that," She asked.

"I don't want some comets help to help me get a date with the perfect girl and if I did get you, I want to give you the perfect date from me and not from some comet," Cody told her with a proud grin.

"Cody…that's sweet…but I don't know…Let's just be friends…," Gwen gave him a soft smile.

"What ever makes you happy is fine by me," Cody told her with a huge smile on his face.

Voices soon could be heard.

"I think it's over here guys," Chris said as he walked into where Cody and Gwen were.

"Hey, sorry we're late. Sadie didn't really like being voted off that much…," Chris said to them as he had a huge grin. Cody and Gwen were shocked for a moment as they saw Chris and Chef with everyone else following behind them. Cody wanted to speak but Gwen recovered before him.

"We," Gwen asked still surprised to see Chris there who just ignored the two's reaction.

"Yeah! Party," Owen shouted as he ran towards the logs and hugged Cody.

"Happy birthday dude, sorry we're late," Owen shouted.

"I thought no one was going to come," Cody said happily after Owen dropped him.

"No worries dude, I saw what happened so I got everyone here. Plus it might be good for ratings to have an event like this once in a while," Chris told him and Chef nodded his head behind in agreement.

"Yeah, sorry about that dude, I thought those cards were meant for the girls. So I took them and told the other guys in the Killer Bass team that it was probably for the girls and you had the wrong cabin," Duncan told him while rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Mine kind of disappeared before I got a chance to read it," Trent said while rubbing the back of his head as well.

"Yeah, my bad, I took what Duncan said and thought he did the same mistake to you guys, after I came to get you to see what Owen was doing," Geoff told him.

"We're sorry too…we didn't know, we just thought you wanted to ask us out too, so we ignored them," Bridgette said and Courtney nodded her head in agreement.

"We're sorry too," Beth said speaking for Heather and Lindsay.

"I'm sorry also. I would have read it regardless if it wasn't for Ms. Bossy over there taking the cards and throwing them away," Leshawna said.

"Thanks guys…now lets just have some fun," Cody said as they began celebrating. Chris brought some music for them to listen to while some talked and others danced. Cody eventually had an idea as he walked up to Gwen.

"Can I have a dance," He asked and Gwen stared at him for a moment as he gave a grin and she could almost sense that his heart was pounding rapidly from nervousness

.

"Just because it's your birthday, got it," Gwen told him and gave him a smile.

"Yes Mam," Cody happily replied with a grin on his face. Chris played some slow music and smirked as he enjoyed Gwen's hard glare at him for setting the situation to be more closer to Cody then she would have liked.

"Don't worry. Let's just dance as friends, nothing more, I promise," Cody told her as he began to wrap his arms around her gently while still trying to keep everything friendly.

"That sounds good to me," Gwen replied as she put her hands on his shoulders and they danced for a while.

"Hey Gwen…," Cody began.

"Yeah Cody?"

"You know, I do care about you," Cody told her.

"Cody, don't…"

"I just want to let you know, I want you to be happy," He said.

"Cody…"

"Trent," Cody called to the guy. Trent seemed a bit confused as he came up to Cody.

"Would you mind taking over and dancing with this lovely damsel," Cody asked. Trent grinned and happily accepted. Gwen was blushing and Cody left to talk to Chris, to tell him to put another slow dance song on. He then looked at Gwen who was happy. He felt a bit jealous and his heart pinched but he decided to bear with it for her happiness.

"That's real noble of you dude," Chris told him

.

"Well I made my birthday wish," Cody told him.

"What was the wish dude," Chris asked.

"To see Gwen happy," Cody finished with a smile as he watched Gwen and Trent dance together.
