AN: Soooo...I been playing LOADS of dragon age 2. I quickly found myself liking Fenris despite his mage hating ways. I made a short one. Enjoy!
Garrett
Perhaps it was wrong of him, perhaps he should have stopped it before it even began. Perhaps he should have walked away a bit faster or not even have come at all. But it was all Garrett's fault, Garrett's fault for being so understanding, Garrett's fault for messing with his head that way. And yet, when Garrett broke the taboo that Fenris held up, broke the taboo of touching the elf, something changed.
From the first awkward laugh at being called handsome by this mage, to the blue glow as he pushed Garrett up against the wall and to this moment. Something always changed, as the mage proved to him that some mages could keep strong and not resort to the cursed blood magic. But there was always examples of what could happen if they weren't strong. Weak mages existed everywhere, like that Dalish monster or the abomination that ran that clinic and countless other mages that they had meet on the road, and still that cursed mage Anders believed in redemption and freedom for all mages with no circle at all.
But Garrett…
Fenris ran his ungloved hand slowly along the strong back, feeling the warm muscles of the man that had been touching him only hours before, feeling the steady beat against his heart through the others glorious half tanned skin. It had been great, better then anything Fenris could ever imagine anyone giving him and Garrett had been prepared to give more, to give the elf anything he could to make him happy. He was asleep now, leaving Fenris to his own painful memories that had come and gone in a quick flash that left him dazed and confused for a few seconds.
Perhaps he was never mean to remember?
No, Fenris could not think that way, it would let Denarius win. He was not going to let that trice cursed Tevinter mage win! But it hurt to remember so briefly and then loose it.
Fenris ran his lips over Garrett's neck before getting up. He would not want to remember only to loose it again. And deeper still laid the fear that had stopped him so many times. No, he was not going to fall victim again.
He was not weak, not even here in Garrett's loving arms.
