Happy Birthday Hundley
"Alright guys let's sing Hundley Happy Birthday." Jackie told each of the kids as she carried the baby's cake over to the table.
It was Hundley's first birthday but Nick and Jackie had had the baby's party a few days prior while Nick's parents were in town for Thanksgiving.
Although they had already had her party the kids insisted she get another cake today on her real birthday, although Jackie was positive that was for their benefit and not Hundley's.
The family sang the baby happy birthday and before Jackie could stop her Hundley leaned over and stuck her face in the entire cake.
Jackie gasped and Nick laughed hysterically.
The cake was completely ruined and the kids were furious with the adorable little one.
"Hundy, you have to share." Jasmine exclaimed as the other kids echoed just that.
Hundley was oblivious to her sibling's dismay, she squealed in delight as she pulled her head out of the cake and then grabbed a hunk of frosting and stuck it in her mouth. She grinned widely at her parents, completely covered in chocolate and all.
"I wish I would have gotten that on video." Nick said as he gasped for breath.
"It's not funny daddy. I wanted some cake." Jasmine told him which just made Nick laugh harder.
Jackie quickly got the camera and took some pictures.
"Honey why don't you go buy another cake and I'll give the birthday girl a bath." Jackie told him.
"Alright that sounds good." Nick agreed.
He disposed of the old cake and then went to the store to get a new one.
"Alright guys, while I give baby Hundley a bath will you bring your crayons and coloring books up to the bathroom so I can keep an eye on you?"
All the kids hauled all their stuff up to the bathroom.
As Jackie bathed here, Hundley kept grinning at her.
"You are such a stinker baby girl." Jackie told her.
Hundley squealed in pure delight and Jackie just shook her head at the baby.
Soon Nick was back with the cake and after the kids got to eat a piece they forgave their baby sister.
One thing was for sure, Hundley's first birthday was a memorable one!
