How old was Homura exactly?
Given her appearance, everyone could easily guessed. 14, or 15 perhaps. Some would think she's 16 with her cold and adult-like eyes that stares coldly at things around her. They are neither wrong... nor right.
How many time-loops did Homura exactly went through?
Even Homura herself lost count. 20 times? 40 times? 170 times? She stopped counting when the number reached fifteen. Homura found it pointless to do these things; to count something that she hates, to count something she wished she didn't have to count in the first place.
Akemi Homura. The girl who has the power to control time and space. How old was she? 15 years old? 25 years old?
The sky quickly turned grey and clouds started to spread across Mitakihara Town. Homura was standing at the end of the roof of a building, staring at nothing with her cold dull eyes. She took in a deep breathe.
In these time-loops, she have seen many people die, people cry, people laugh, people smile. Correction. In these time-loops, she have seen the same people die, the same people cry, the same people laugh, the same people cry. And in just one night, one wish, one change of fate, Homura didn't had to go through all of that anymore.
Was that a blessing? Was Homura suppose to be happy? Was all the blood, sweat and tears that Homura shed paid off?
In the world where there were no despair. Now, no magical girls had to carry the burden, thinking they would curse other people when they couldn't make it anymore. Magical girls also didn't have to fight among each other for territory of grief seeds anymore. Everyone are living in a peaceful and harmonize world. What a pleasant world Madoka had created.
No. This was not Homura wanted.
But who was to blame? The Madoka that Homura first knew was not the same as the current Madoka that made the wish to save everybody. It was Homura that created this Madoka in this time-loop. It was Homura who decided to let this time-loop's Madoka to happen.
All Homura wanted was that person to live a happy and normal life like everyone. But that person did the exact opposite that Homura had been struggling to do all the years. Stuck in a universe, alone and forgotten by everyone. Living and having to carry everyone's burden because she want others to be happy. This was not alright for Homura. This was not what she wanted.
What... the hell was she fighting for now?
Kill all the demon? Protect this stupid and selfish world? So the number of time-loops she had went through... was for the sake of what? This?
Homura didn't know anymore. She's tired. Very tired.
She hated this time-loop's Madoka for doing this to her. Leaving her alone with all the memories, with all the pain. Homura didn't want this. She didn't want to fight anymore. She didn't know what was the purpose of her life. The reason why she had became a magical girl in the first place... what was the wish for? She hated the fact that everyone were living normally and happily and Madoka was fine with it.
No, everybody should suffer. Everybody should go through the pain and hardship she had went through so they could understand and stop smiling, laughing and be happy as if they deserved it.
"I'll leave this town, this world, this universe and take back what I deserve."
Homura smile and took a step forward. She lift her foot up and let it dangled in the air. The next second, she falls.
