A/N:This will be a twoshot

Damian Millhouse Spinelli quickly fixed the pillows on the couch, then picked up the can of apples and cinammon air freshener and sprayed it around the room. Maxie Jones sat in the desk chair, watching with wide, blue eyes as he moved in a frenzy around the room. Spinelli had gotten word that his granny was coming to visithim and seeing as she left yesterday on a plane, she would be in Port Charles soon. Spinelli was supposed to pick her up from the airport in an hour.

Maxie,of course, really didn't understand why her friend was going to so much trouble to clean up----again. After all,he had spent the whole day cleaning the penthouse from top to bottom yesterday . "Um,Spinel? I think you got everything cleaned up enough. I am sure your grandmother will be exhausted from her flight and won't notice anyway." She said, grabbing the feather duster from his hand.

"B--but Maximista!" He whined, trying but with no avail to get back the feather duster.

"NO Spinelli!" She growled, tossing the duster onto the desk. "You already cleaned the whole penthouse, top to bottom yesterday! Now sit down and watch a little television before we go to the airport." She led him to the couch with both hands wrapped around his right arm in a vice like grip.

He pouted at her but obliged, sitting down on the sofa and turning on the tv.

"Good." Maxie told him with a smile as she sat down with him.

About a half an hour later, they were at the airport, waiting for Miriam Spinelli to walk off her plane. Maxie, meanwhile couldn't help but feel a tiny bit nervous. She had never met Miriam before and only knew about her by what Spinelli had told her and the pictures he had shown her.

Suddenly Spinelli wrapped his hand around her wrist and began to jump up and down in excitement. "There she is!" He hissed, waving at his granny quickly. He ran from Maxie's side and hurried over to his granny, taking her suitcase from her and giving her a hug, before taking her hand and leading her back over to where Maxie stood."Granny, this is my friend Maxie Jones. Maximista, this is my granny." He said, all smiles as he introduced them.

The old woman smiled and held out a wrinkled hand that was free of rings except for a small gold band. "Call me Miriam." She told Maxie in a friendly, southern voice.

"It's nice to meet you Miriam." Maxie said, grinning right back as she shook the old woman's hand.

Miriam turned back to Spinelli,"You didn't tell me that Maxie was your girlfriend,Damian." She told her grandson with narrowed eyes.

His eyes widened and his mouth fell open as he shook his head wildly. "Maximista ISN'T by girlfriend granny! She and I are just friends." He said, getting over his shock.

Miriam chuckled before changing the topic. "You need a haircut Damian." She said, gazing at her grandson's rather long bangs and pushing them off his forehead.

Maxie stifled a chuckle at the site by placing a small hand over her mouth.

Spinelli gave her an evil glare over his granny's shoulder before he brushed her hand away. "Are you hungry granny? Maximista and I can take you to lunch if you want." He asked.

His granny smiled. "I could go for some lunch. And while we eat,you can tell me what has been going on around here."
