Now and then, the thought that she would distinguish herself from other girls was making her happy.

Now and then, she wished that his mean words towards her were only covering his true feelings.

Now and then, she felt special to him when in actual fact, she was probably not.

Now and then, they'd talk about his past and she felt that her first love would always be her last.

Now and then, seeing this sad and distance expression on his beautiful face led her to feel insecure.

Now and then, she thought that the distance between them would shrink, when in reality it would only increase a second later.

Now and then, she wished that he told her that he loved her, that he needed her.

Now and then, she wished they could see if they could become something.

A/N: My first Ao Haru Ride Drabble (although with more than 100 words), probably not my last though.

After reading the summary to Chapter 17, I just needed to write this drabble about Futaba's feelings.

I'll write a second drabble about my thoughts about how it'll continue sometime soon.
