Marah hugged Kapri, "I'm really going to miss you."
Her sister hugged her tight, "I'll tell mom and dad you say hello."
It was the day Marah had been dreading, Kapri had grown tired of Earth and homesick for Keldora their home world. She was a great ninja but even that hadn't made her happy. Finally Uncle Hanoi had told her maybe going home would heal her.
Kapri smiled, "sure you won't come?" although the question was really joking. Marah had made a life for herself, she was a great water ninja, had made friends but Dustin was the main reason Marah was staying, that and the fact she wasn't homesick.
"I'm sure but you better come back and visit."
Kapri smiled, "I will" then their unaccustomed moment of tenderness quickly came to an end. "I better get going."
Marah watched as Kapri went out of sight then walked to the stream, her favorite place to be when she needed to be alone or think. The past two years had been amazing and she wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. She had her friends at the Ninja Academy, and felt good because she could make up for being on the side of evil, and she had Dustin her fiancée.
Their courtship had started out as friendship then had become much more as time went on, it had been awkward that first month, it had been the first time they had laid eyes on each other since what she and her friend BEEVIL had done to him.
She knew she would miss Kapri but her sister would be happy when she was home, her relationship with Hunter hadn't worked and besides they would try to stay in contact.
Marah jumped as arms slid around her waist but soon relaxed when her senses told her who it was, Dustin kissed her neck, "you all right?"
"I'll get you back for scaring me you know I always retaliate."
"Really I had no idea." He replied jokingly, and then turned serious, "Sensei told me Kapri just left you all right?"
"Yeah she'll be much happier although I do miss the home world this time of year, the weather's getting nice?"
"Sorry you're not there?"
Marah embraced him, "not at all." And the two shared a long kiss as the sun rose beginning the new day.
