Because Ice and Fire don't mix, but Fire and Sunshine do.
Of course they'd never work out.
She was Ice.
He was Fire. Her best friend was Sunshine.
They made sense.
She knew her science, and she knew that the sun was a star, burning bright like the fire you see burning brightly in everday situations.
He was the boy everyone desired. Raven locks and ruby eyes, he was a beautiful boy.
And then there was her. Raven locks, not so unlike his, and violet eyes. She had been called stunning. How pathetic. Stunning.
Her best friend, Sunshine, was so much more than her. With her chocolate locks and hazel eyes, she was far more than stunning. She was absolutely beautiful. As beautiful as Fire himself. They made sense.
But, Fire and Ice did not.
She saw that from the very beginning.
She even told his best friend about this.
He was Spring, refreshing and bright. Golden locks and clear blue eyes. They made sense.
After all, after the ice melts Spring is here. And that's what happened. She melted with Spring.
In the end, she supposed, they all wound up where they were supposed to be.
Fire and Sunshine.
Ice and Spring.
