"Potter?"
Harry turned around, nodding when he saw who'd approached him.
"Draco," he murmured. "Shouldn't you be with your parents?"
Draco shrugged, though Harry didn't see him, sitting down beside the Gryffindor on the front steps of Hogwarts.
"I just wanted a bit of..." he trailed off. Truth be told, Draco didn't have a. Lie what he wanted.
"Peace," Harry whispered. "A bit of peace and quiet."
The two sat in silence for a while, before Draco spoke again.
"Thank you," he said, turning slightly so he was facing Harry. "You saved my life."
Harry shrugged. "It was the right thing to do. Enough people died."
Draco nodded. "It's going to be weird, not seeing you. I... I'm so used to seeing you. This year has been... strange."
Snorting, Harry turned his head to meet Draco's eyes. "That's one word for it. I'll see you here next year. Minerva will allow us back."
Draco shook his head sadly. "I'm fairly sure I'll be doing my studying from an Azkaban cell."
Harry blinked, then shook his head, scowling. "You won't. I'll be at your trial, Draco. It... you've been one of the few constants I've ever had. I won't let them take another one away. You'll be here next year."
Draco sighed. "I'm tired of fighting. I don't... I can't do it anymore. I can't fight you."
With an odd smile on his face, Harry stood up, holding out a hand for Draco to take. With only momentary hesitation, Draco took it and was pulled to his feet.
"I said I want you in my life, Draco. I didn't say we had to be fighting."
Harry smiled slightly, lifting a hand to Draco's face, lightly caressing the pale skin.
"I'll see you at the trials."
